  • I've been a personal trainer for about 12 years now so I'll shed some light on the topic. People really seem to over-complicate things!

    HOW TO LOSE FAT

    1) Avoid high GI foods (they trigger fat storage)

    2) Eat frequent, nutrient dense meals (every 3 hours) - include a protein source with each meal

    3) Follow the nutrition plan from the "Fat Loss Customized" program (I can't provide a meal plan here)

  • I don't totally agree with everything she says. I have a healthy sense of balance and skepticism; however, I really only listened at first because she's attractive but after a couple of videos she certainly made a solid case for her points which correlate with the majority of nutritionalists. Lower the processed foods, exercise, and eat in moderation and get enough sleep. Yeah sleep, if you're tired your body craves refined carbs or for coffee addicts caffeine to help stimulate the brain.

  • Cooking is what Chefs do. You go out to eat. There is what we call McDonald's and Taco Bell. Healthy Vegetarian and Subway For everyday.

    Family of 6 every meal.

    $200.00 for a weeks Dinner (7 days).

    $200.00 for a weeks Breakfast (7days).

    $200.00 for a weeks Lunch (7 days).

    Add dish-washing = $625.00

    Compared to 6 people eating $6.00 Fast Food meal.

    3 meals a day = $18.00 x 6 = $108.00

    $108 A Day x 7 = $756 dollars a week.

    Feeds 6 people without needing to wash dishes and clean up.

  • I'm not overweight. Actually, i'm average. All my friends tell me i'm skinny. I'm not skinny. Like i said, i'm average. Average isnt good enough. I want to be super-model thin. I'm 13 so yeah...I'm influenced easily by the media. Now they cover it up and say "Be yourself", but those same people are PERFECT so its contradicting.     I think you misunderstand the term Organic Food.

    It refers to foods that are free of modern synthetic inputs such as pesticides and chemical fertilizers.

    It is natural food.

    What you refer to as "less expensive, natural good" are the chemically contaminated foods that are sold at most stores

    Natural, Organic foods now cost more because it takes more time and effort to harvest crop naturally, without the use of modern and destructive technology

    I would like to say, how you present the information on health is just the way I needed to hear it. We do not get enough education on health, which leaves me overwhelmed when I want to try and improve myself. I have a daughter and we need to be more aware of proper nutrition and why is is essential. Thank you for your help and information, I am taking a stand for 2011 and following your advice, and getting HEALTHY. I will keep in touch. :)

  • This was very good advice and very well presented. I find that my hypnosis clients are generally not that overweight and just unhappy and miserable with their lives; all of them are women. 'Cravings' are mainly caused by misery in my experience.

  • This is great Natalie ! People will understand that getting healthy is ALL about creating an healthy lifestyle. Its not that complicated, sometime its only a matter of going back to the basic. Nutrition is so important. My first advice would be starting everyday with hot water + lemon AND EATING A BREAKFAST. Everybody needs to get as much good informations that they can.   • I watched this video a little over two years ago. It lead me to Natalie's website. After apply her advice to my life, I lost 70 pounds. The knowledge I gained from her videos changed my life, and I would recommended her videos to anyone.

  • The reason everyone finds her so appealing is because she has healthy skin, hair, eyes and attitude, probably due to her diet and lifestyle.

    Plus she is cute.

  • I was fat for many years and I am now healthy body weight. I am going to impart my secret so you can be thin too. Wait for it...eat less. Yep that is my secret. Take all the other BS and throw it out the window. pluralitas non est ponenda sine necessitate (Occams razor). For some odd reason we continue to overlook the obvious. Live hungry and be thin. Think of your body like a gas engine, it only needs so much gas to work. Your body stores the extra energy in the form of fat.

  • @vintagepremoon Not true, it is not the amount of food that we eat, it is the actual food that we eat. Proof: I can eat one McDonalds big mac all day and stay the same weight because my body goes into starvation mode. Starvation mode is where the body starts eating the muscle to stay alive thus why heavy people often have no muscle tone. Don't make the mistake of thinking that all fat people eat a ton of food because they do not.

  • @vintagepremoon You don't have to 'live hungry' to lose weight. If you just eat less, then you'll probably lose muscle tone and have lower energy levels - plus, constant hunger for life is so unappealing and it's difficult to maintain will-power. I prefer to eat as much food as I want to feel satisfied, but 90% of what I eat is packed with nutrition that my body needs. Now, I have the energy to exercise and build muscle - and the muscle in turn burns more calories and helps me drop body fat.

  • The statement that you don't burn calories when you sleep is false; actually a 150 lb woman can burn 62 calories an hour sleeping. It never stops working- yes don't eat at night if you are not hungry but if you are it is ok to eat a 100- 200 HEALTHY snack.

  • I have watched many of Natalie's videos and I enjoy them all, but this is my favourite. I appreciated the personal responsibility factors mentioned at the end. I used to be a blamer. Its hard to affect real change until you take responsibility for your own life, regardless of what the world has done to you.

  • @digitaldud Actually organic milk, for example, will not have the female hormones that they inject into non-organic milk cows. Those hormones promote weight gain and other bad side effects. It's also a matter of things messing up how your body works since a healthy body can do more in a day and thus burn more calories.
