  • My favorite hat store and my favorite hat store owner. I am so saddened by your closing.

  • What a wonderful thing you are doing! I'm a cancer survivor and you're right on the button! I'd love to see a 'how to' on the cashmere hats so I can do them but in cotton for the homeless here in South Florida- the hot sun burns their heads - if I find cashmere I can donate through the League Against Cancer - I volunteer there!!! You can be very proud of yourself- it's creative and good work!

  • ROCK IT! Great Idea, Great Spirit!

  • @adshats thank you, but he passed away coming up to 6 years ago this January. I just wanted you to know that what you do matters & is very much appreciated. My current husband grows his hair very long and then cuts it to donate it to locks of love. It's just nice to know that people who are strangers can care enough to touch a life and make difference. Hope you have a vey happy holiday filled with laughter and love :)

  • @simonewarrior My Chemo/Cancer customers have changed my life. The things they have shared with me about their life and illness have been life transforming. I feel honored to make hats that help people feel better during such a difficult time in their life. Thank you for your kind words.

I give hats to people who donate to Locks of love. Please contact me through adshats@gmail.com Let me know colors he likes and your address. I will send one to you. It would make really happy.

  • I LOVE this idea. Completely amazing! If there is any way at all you would sell these, please let me know. I can't imagine how long it takes you to make these, but they are incredible.

  • @lovelylauz02 Thank you so much! I sell my hats on Etsy. The address is in the video description, or you can find me by my shop name "elinadavenport"

You can get an idea of some of the styles I make. I am also happy to take requests for certain color combinations and sizes. These hats are very labor intensive, but so worth it. I love making them...each one is very special and unique.

  • Adshats: I love that you do these for cancer patients my husband had been one so I know how great and comforting they can be ....thank you :)

  • @simonewarrior Thank you! I hope your husband is doing well. i make many different kinds of hats, but these Cashmere ones seem to be the favorite ones because they are so soft and warm.

  • Yarnovah: I have found them at Goodwill stores you just have to go on the right day but they do get them and when you find them it's so worth the wait.

  • Where do you find your cashmere sweaters? I tried Goodwill, but all the sweaters I found were acryllic or cotton.

  • @yarnovah They are rare, and the thrift stores charge a lot for them in my area. Just have to keep looking.

  • I love these hats!!! Would you be willing to share how to do these??

  • @alzumbas they are labor intensive, complicated, and fun to make. I encourage you to experiment and create your own.
