The shape of his hands while playing reminds me of Vladimir Horowitz. Is it not rare in Russian school to play the piano with fingers stretched? Not only he but Horowitz as well plays with their wrist placed even lower than the keyboard sometimes. Some Jazz pianist do that too, don't they?
We just heard Egorov performing on Vancouver Island this afternoon and he was amazing!
