  • @tomeeeee1 it was Rolling Stones that opened BLIND MELON

  • @tomeeeee1 Janis Joplin? lol ha just kidding.

  • i think you may be right

  • why do people like lennon and hoon have to be spoiled cunts just for being one of the people to voice the opinion of a ton of other people who look around this beautiful planet and point out its flaws. bending over and taking it was never cute.

  • @nashnwo1234 some people happen to have a better range of people they can reflect on and relate to. people who work 9-5 who also hate the worlds flaws msot of the time they cant get their voice out like lennon or shannon did.

  • i had no idea green day's was a cover :|

    im a disgrace

    love shannon (:

  • @Lukith66 It's originally a John Lennon Song.

  • La TV es el opio del pueblo!! aunke no tengo nada contra el opio jejejjre.

  • Oh yea because John Lennon had to work so hard in his life after he was about 20...OOOOK

  • @spadge321

Come to my town and call Hoon a spoiled cunt, see how many teeth you walk away with

  • @spadge321 Why would you know if he knew anything about the song? In the end it's by a guy who knew shit second-hand anyway and just talked about it. Lennon lived a more priviliged life than most people ever even dream about.

  • @Eifler121 john lennon gave a load of his money away. bought an island in ireland and gave it away to name one thing.he was supposedly giving money to the black panthers etc too but i'm not sure bout that. the island story is pretty interestin an funny if you look it up.

  • @spadge321 I notice you have the Libertines in your videos. The irony. What would've been a real mother fucker of a social statement would've been if John Lennon had sold all his possessions and given the money to charity or to help the poor. But no,he just got richer and richer.A far more spoiled kid than Shannon ever was.

  • @DustyAndPistolPete You sound like the asshole who shot John Lennon. Go read Catcher in the Rye, dreamkiller.

  • @blacksabbathgnr098 I have read it and I love it....which is beside the point because I was responding to someone who referred to Shannon as a middle class rich kid who didn't mean what he was singing,I was pointing out that John Lennon was quite well off when he was a child too.

  • @DustyAndPistolPete its small minded to think selling your shit and giving your money to other people is the answer. giving people money can be the worst thing you do for them.

  • tight how they sound good on an album then they sound even better live...i was brainwashed with rap records until i saw a rapper perform live and realized they SUCK ASS

  • @nt04smithd - *Looped beat plays* Yo...yo...yo...check it....uhn! uhhn! uhnn! yo-yo....yo-yo....UHN! Bust a motherfuckin' cap in a motherfucker 'cause......yo-yo....uh...check it!

  • Shannon Hoon makes me proud to be from Indiana.

  • Yeah, but that's about the only damn thing to make us proud of Indiana. I rest my head in Michigan.

  • that comment just sounds so stupid from anyone who isn't from Indiana. Just sayin'

  • :O im glad a cool band like blind melon coverd johns lennon awsome and true working class hero but i doest come even close to the original

  • In September on 1992, a friend of mine from Indiana gave me the early release of there first album and I had just got Perl Jam Ten and Nirvana Nermind, and I have to say Blind Melon first album, for whatever reason, didn't get the hype as the other two, but it was one of the better albums of that year without a doubt! It was not until the following spring until they got any hype, and probably from one not the best song on that album. One of my favorite bands of the Nineties if not My Ulimate

  • i mean last comment

  • Blind Melon were awesome and it's a great cover. R.I.P. Shannon. Worst first comment ever!

  • haha i love how everyone gave all your comments thumbs down even though you have different views :)

  • All a matter of opinion really. you're entitled to yours. Personally i love it. i can't get enough of blind melon and always welcome rare stuff like this. I LOVE BLIND MELON, WARTS AND ALL!

    RIP Shannon x

  • Me too!! But I don't see any warts at all. Its all good. I just wish I would have seen them live.

  • huh... what a voice... shannon was really great artist....the greatest... r.i.p.

  • Lennon, as an agitator for the crown. Still a good song, when performed as a cover.

  • Good Lord . what a voice this one had.

  • Working Class Hero is something to be !!!!

Working Class Hero is something to be ...

  • thank you for posting this vid. Its nice to see more of this come out.Almost like they are still making music.

  • WOW! This was amazing! Nothing comes close to BM in many ways! THANK YOU SOOOOO MUCH who ever filmed this and Vince for posting it!!!!

    WOW!

  • the stones have there longevity, however blind melon clearly has the talent and song writing ability.if you need clarity, just reply.

  • obviously your not stupid if you gave the option to ask for clarity, so I ask. clarity?

  • I love Blind Melon as well, but, they didn't write this one. It's a Beatles tune from way back.

  • nop your wrong .. its a john lennon song

  • right

  • I think Blind Melon is one of the most unappreciated bands in the history of bands. :( what a shame.

  • @herbmanrasta Yes, it's true. And Soup was probably the most underrated album of the 90's (along with Angel Dust by Faith No More).

  • @herbmanrasta I so with you bro, i have SEED TO A TREE, tattoo'd on my left forearm, and evrything, including bootlegs, this devine band, and lost soul ever released, my god is he missed

  • wow, the first time I've seen them play that song!

  • I cant imagine a bunch of 60 year olds watching this before the stones came on stage.

  • Fuck Stones fans. The stones had a lot of good tunes but if you realize they have 40 good songs and 500 shitty ones....

  • WOW!

  • waay better than greenday,

and almost as great as Jhon Lennon.

  • I was really disappointed when i found out that green day has covered something like this. Im don't mean to upset any greenday fans but this song has just too much inside of it for green day to forward.

  • agreed

  • agreed

  • agreed and i like the name :)

  • Holy hell i love these guys. Best version I've heard. Although a working class hero, is not something to be. we get shit on.always.

  • this is cool, but the weird thing is at the time..the crowd was their to see the stones and not bm. bm were booed off stage and generally disliked by crowds at the time. i have recordings of them opening for the stones and you can hear the crowd going "these guys suck."

    :(

  • Fuck the Stones. Should have gone out gracefully a long time ago. A bunch of old fart baby boomers obviously aren't going to relate to BM or the grunge/flannel crowd, circa the early 1990's.

  • this is better than the Green Day version I think Never heard the Lennon Version but will in a min

  • ohhhh

    temazo de lennon

    Hecho por hoon

    suena bkn

este loko siempre fue tan expresivo pa cantar

eso no se ve mucho hoy

    rest in peace shannon !

  • You've made my day. because our melon experience was cut short, seeing something new like this is a godsend!!! thank you thank you thank you!!!

  • Such amazing talent - saw interviews with his friends or anyone who knew Shannon personally & obvious from his lyrics~a highly intelligent, very DEEP man who found glory in using his talent to write down feelings & experiences he had and issues he dealt with as a child-.-Shannon sings it with his heart and spirit in terms of life and all the knowledge he so respectively kept inside. The short time he was alive and was sincerely, genuinely a wonderful soul

  • very nicely expressed

  • wow very rare sounds great

  • Shannon Hoon is forever my hero - R.I.P

  • wow this is the best version of this song by far thanks vince

  • thnx man,im a working class hero
