You can hide out and unhide the ATC- screen by using your standard atc key (take a look in your fsx settings). If the ATC-key is blended in you can move to a place on your screen where you want to. To enlarge the PFD, ND or EICAS intergrated screen from your 747-400 just klick the desired screen with a left mouse klick on it. I hope you meant the PFD because you wrote "altimeter". There is a standby-altimeter too but it is only used when the PFD failed e.g.
Hmm thats problematic. You have to use the rudder keys to set the rudder back to the neutral position. I dont know if there is a key to set the rudder directly to neutral.
So far as i can recall there is a tool an avsimlibrary that you can use to set the rudder to neutral by a key. But i forgot the name of this program. sorry. My advise to you is to use rudder pedals like saitek or ch-products. This hardware pedals auto-spring-back to their neutral pos. and are prefered for a higher precision
You can use the SAITEK Rudder Pedals for example. When you are taxiing you have to use the Rudder Pedals or the Tiller (not simulated in th PMDG) but not the Yoke.
You can also use the default Rudder left/right Keys on your Keyboard. Take a look in your FSX Settings.
You have to set them to the "armed" Position. They are automatic extended when the Main Gear is on the Runway. You can select 3 Positions. Up, Armed and Down. You can also use them during the Flight to reduce the airspeed during a descent for example.

is that a defualt 747, if it is how did you get the thing to say 1000, 500, 400 and all that?
backhand630 8 months ago
@backhand630
No, its not the default 747. Its a PMDG Payware Aircraft (PMDG 747-400X Queen of the Skies)
The synth voice is the Ground Proximity Warning System (GPWS)
Watch at Wikipedia for it
The System calls out 1000 bla bla bla when you reach your descision height

@dasabendbrot
Thx for watching and voting!
With bad weather conditions its much harder to land. In this video i landed with changing wind direction around 5 knots. Not that bad :-)
