I feel my life is like miss Austen regrets. I have many proposals each one will make me comfortable both financially and socially, But still I couldn't agree. I guess dreamer like us will die spinster. Which I totally love it. Hahahaha.

@mercore It's because we respect ourselves as more than creatures receptive only to financial and social comfort. We have other qualities that we value within ourselves, which would whither away if we compromised ourselves - an act of betrayal to our ideals. At the same time, I am a hardcore realist. I guess being a realistic in regards to the world, and a total romantic in regards to my heart, makes me unfit for the men in this world ;)

@sferb As long as your true to yourself, i say your on the right path. At the end of the day you could marry some guy who you can tolerate. But a marriage of tolerance is no fun becuase when times get tough it will get tough. Atleast if you marry someone you absolutly love, when times get tough you can look at the person and say "hey hes or she's being a jerk, but i still love um".

She sort of had the same story where she had alot of Mr Collins proposals, but she was waiting for a Mr Darcy.

this is a great film. i don't know much about jane austen but i realize and heard through critics' reviews that this is pretty accurate to jane's life!

Its so accurate because its based on her letters diaries and anything else she may have written to her family memebers, mainly her sister cassandra.

@gem22b I don't believe it ever aired on TV. It is included in the "Sense and Sensibility" 2008 DVD.  Good luck!

It was shown on Masterpeice Theatre and the DVD is coming out in a few days. I will be there to buy It. This is the closest to being a solid representation of a part of Jane's life. I fully recommend it, even to Janeites. Elaine Lyons Bach

Unfortunately, MAR is not sold on its own. However, it is sold as a bonus extra on the ITV Sense and Sensibility (2008). (However, S&S did get good reviews.)
