The studio tech is just oKaY in my opinion. It leaves my skin oily and muddy after a few hours...but it could just be because of my oily skin. It does a little bit better when I set it with a mattifying translucent powder, but still not impressive for me. I am going to switch over to the studio fix next month to see if it works a little bit better for me.

@Ciarahoneydip I find most MAC products to be overrated ,i prefer laura mercier ,i was a MAC addict and i still love their eyeshadows and grraphblack pencil and glasses but in 10 years of being into makeup i found better products,the only thing that MAC has is a wide range of colors .

Estee Lauder lipsticks are great and very creamy .(MAC is owned by Estee Lauder) Laura Mercier foundations are excellent <Bobbi Brown compact foundation beats Studio Tech but again not enough shades.

i have fair and sensitive skin, and i think combination skin because i'm oily but dry in some areas, acne scarring, redness and discoloration on my cheeks, chin, and nose. I wanted to know which mac foundation you would recommend for me as well as a concealer. I recently just bought the loreal 24 hr super stay and i want to know when i'm supposed to put concealer on or if you would recommend some other type of concealer which isn't expensive. I've been using studio tech foundation in NC43 for around a year now and i absolutely love it! it is best to apply concealer after your foundation because foundation does cover some stuff up so concealer is just to go back and cover what your foundation doesn't :) if you apply concealer first you may apply it everywhere and it'll be heavy you may as well use concealer as foundation :) i know im not candy but i thought i would help anyways :)

I just bought mine yesterday.. well the lady recommended the Select SPF but my skin was kinda dry even though I usually have oily skin. ANYWAY so she suggested the tech because it sits better on the skin and it doesn't make the dry patches seem even more dry..

So I ended up with the tech! At first I was really skeptical of how she applied it cause it looked unnatural

But now I use it with my foundation brush AND I LOVE IT! My skin looks so flawless and glowing :) AMAZING!

FINALLY A REVIEW ON STUDIO TECH!!! i never understood why they are so few and far between on yt.. i LOVE my studio tech!!! ive been using it for over a year and always am getting "you have such flawless skin!" compliments, when in reality, my skin aint all that great haha- but id never spill my secret; STUDIO TECH!!!

imo, the BEST way to apply studio tech is with a blender sponge (i have the sonia kashuk purple one) and stipple it on like you would w/ a 187- omg FLAWLESSSS airbrushed look!!!

You should try mineral powder instead of liquid or cream. Mineral tends to blend better with skins color. I had that problem too, not too long ago where i couldn't find a color match. I am using Everyday mineral, they have free samples that you can try first before purchasing the original size.

I love tippy!! I use it everyday since I ran out of frenzy from the fafi collection. I use the Studio Tech and I do love it. However, I do place studio fix over it and never tried it with the minaralized powder, which I should try to have a lighter finish. you should try the studio fix powder then put luster drops as a hightlight for you cheeks so you can still have a dewy look for the summer. It's hot in the summer so it looks weird if you're matte! :)

I have studio tech compact like you and I started with the liquid fix fluid which I now do not use. I LOVE the STUDIO TECH!! The thing is, the SPF in the foundations reflect light when taking pics. and made me look ashy (black woman here). Not cool to look ashy. So Studio tech NC50 is my THANG now. I loves it!

Hey, I have been using studio tech in NC25 for years and I too love it. I always got comments about how create my skin looks and how it looks like I'm not even wearing make up, but I just recently switched to studio fix liquid foundation and I seem to like it better. I feel like it has better coverage. I guess it all depends on the person. Though you do get less product in the Studio tech and it is more expensive.
