Pale Cocoon and Mizu no Kotoba (Aquatic Language) were created by Yasuhiro Yoshiura. Hoshi no Koe (Voices of a Distant Star), Kanojo to Kanojo no Neko (She and Her Cat), Kumo no Mukō, Yakusoku no Basho (The Place Promised in Our Early Days), and Byōsoku Go Senchimētoru (5 Centimeters Per Second) were directed and animated by Makoto Shinkai.
