worst descion u can make, leaving that stadium is leaving the yankees, sports like baseball and nascar are only doing as good as there are now because of the good old days, nothing interesting ever happens now, no real heros, just a bunch of foreigners, or nascar trying to get blacks interested, dont mean any ofense but if they were interested they be there, so i wouldnt drive out the rednecks that built it.

I have been to Yankee Stadium lots of times and even went on the tour. Best one was when I got to go to one of the 1996 World Series games where the Yankees finally came back from all those years of disappointment. Yankees didn't have a lot of fans during those dark days. A lot of fans are band wagon jumpers. I will always be a Yankee fan even when they lose.

im going to miss yankee stadium a lot and im lucky to have had the privilege to visit it this past summer. it was a great experience and looking back on all that history i really wish this wasnt the end. yankee stadium should live forever. some of it should at least be preserved in some way. other than that, rip yankee stadium.

There is no other team in baseball like the New York Yankees, I'm really proud of all the good times I've had at the Stadium, however like Jeter said the can close down Yankee Stadium, but not my memories!!

I will live more historic moments in the new one.

new amenities don't replace the memories man when i heard it was being torn down and saw the last game and the old players and the family members of players came on the field gone like babe Ruth's daughter i started crying. It great that the last game was a winning one.

its sad, im a cardinals fan and they tore down the stadium i grew up in a few years ago. I never knew how sad tearing down a stadium could make you...not nearly as much history in old busch but lots of memories. the new one is great though and im sure you guys will love yours

Yes, a lot of memories there. I hear that it will be a ballpark for kids though. It will be hard to have the work...I imagine a lot of people, like me will want to visit that spot. Where Ruth, Gehrig, DiMaggio, Mantle, Jackson, and all the greats played. God bless Yankee Stadium...I never thought I'd see it go. But, God Bless the new Yankee Stadium as well. Future generations will see more greatness.

I'm a Jays fan, but I too appreciate the history of Yankee Stadium; been so used to watching games at the ol' ballpark, as well as all the atmosphere that surrounds it, Never been there but still a great memories watching it on TV.

This stadium is actually Yankee II. The original stadium, now dubbed Yankee I, was gutted in 1974-1975. The cost of the '74-'75 renovations, now totaling nearly $220 Million, is still being paid by New York State.
