A lot of people are saying it's a love triangle and as much as I hope it was, I think Finn's just jealous because his best mate isn't spending much time with him. :(
Does Josh's dad know he's gay? It's obvious from that last bit that Nate's father doesn't know his son is gay or he's in denial. Either way Josh and Nate are very cute together and their Dad's should leave them alone and let them be happy. Why is it in these storylines one of the parents i.e the dad is so homophobic?
@shyathena34 Josh's dad Tom knows he's gay; he used to have a problem with it...like a big problem, but he got talked around by some of the other teachers. It was very out of character for Tom though, he's usually very liberal and the voice of reason, for him to react like that was weird. He's fine now, but the realisation than Josh and Nate would be spending the night together was a bit of a shock to his system at first. He just wants Josh to be happy.
I can't tell if Finn is jealous or if he's just being really sweet. Maybe it's more of a well-there-goes-my-best-friend-but-at-least-he's-happy kinda thing.
Love triangles are disasters waiting to happen. Remember John Paul-Craig-Sarah and then John Paul-Kieron-Craig? Sarah got her heart stopped and Kieron was murdered by John Paul's brother. The writers need to keep this love interest Josh and Nate only. If Finn is thrown into the mix b/c he's fallen for Josh or Nate, it will get very ugly.
While everyone think they like this to be a love triangle, I think I prefer it to just be Finn being jealous that his best friend seems to be pulling away from him...
I'm pretty sure the jealously from Finn is just because he doesn't want to lose his best mate. These clips miss out a really nice scene between Finn and the girl that Josh is talking to at the beginning. He says that normally a boy's mates and his girlfriend are separate but if Josh is dating Nate then he'll sort of be his best mate too and Josh won't need Finn to hang around with anymore.

@zweovier Keep watching and you might get used to it :) Try turning the volume up a bit, because I know they can mumble a lot and it doesn't make it easy that they can be a bit "lazy" (for lack of a better word...no offense meant to anyone with a regional accent, I know I often do the same) with their pronunciation, like dropping H's and T's. Be glad it's not set in Glasgow!

They don't speak "Queen's English". I've been told by a guy from London, that they are speaking an accent of the Manchester region. I have difficulties to understand them too, because in Germany we learn Queen's English (our teachers used to call it "Oxford English") at school. Fortunately I'm able to receive the original TV transmission via satellite here, which has English subtitles.

If people believe that there is something behind every kiss between a straight actor and a straight actress, their grip on reality is questionable!
I think they did the "upstairs" thing so they wouldn't have to broadcast a gay kiss, or get two straight actors (well, the guy who plays Nate might be gay..?) to kiss.
