I wish people would think before trying to scathe anything that has to do with Christianity. The bible is a collection of 66 books scribed by over 40 authors in different regions and eras. If its not God's word and not inspired directly by Him then why have all of these writings been so consistent between people that had a great deal of trouble if even possible to communicate between themselves?

John, you can't rightly claim that "the Bible" claims to be God's word. The Bible is a collection of writings, not a single volume. If one of those writings makes such a claim for itself (which is rarely, if ever, the case), that claim would NOT extend to all the other writings in the canon.

It takes careful and comprehensive study, not a mere cursory reading. I too, am an eye witness of the integraty of the bibles claim to be The Word and Will of God. Seeing His promises come true time after time for nearly forty years of a continuing development of a personal and intimate relationship with Him and His son Jesus Christ. Is it perfect, no far from it, but it's real. We all have a way to go. Completion is still future.
