Some of these seem to be pick-an-exclusive-out-of-a-hat choices here. Sonic 3D Blast had about as much impact on the world as a silent fart in a private restroom.

Phantasy Star 2 or 4 are glaring omissions. One could argue for Shinobi 3 as well.

Earthworm Jim? Vectorman? The Immortal? Haunting starring Polterguy? Mortal Kombat? Mickey Mania? Strider? Aladdin? The Lion king? Ghouls 'n Ghosts? Pit Fighter? Rolling Thunder? Earthworm Jim, Aladdin and The Lion king were huge for animation. Pit Fighter was the game to get. Mortal Kombat was huge because the fatalities were left intact. Mickey Mania was just awesome.
