Oh dear...a Homelite...Sorry to tell ya man that's the worst trimmer you bought. You should opted for Echo or STIHL's FS45/46/55 or the old style Ryobi 31cc engines that are used in the MTD's far more reliable. Not getting you down or anything..Its a nice trimmer and all...but your biggest nightmare is finding parts for repair. I have a Mightylite 26SS (similar engine) and not one of my shops will touch it. Now it's collecting dust

did ya prime it? it has a primer bulb that you push, but be careful not to overdo it

HOLELITE 30CC TRIMMER is more like it !!! look at a roto choke carb on a homelite and then look at yours LOOKS THE SAME DOESN'T IT ???
