WOW ! It reminds me of our first time landing in Big Island , I was thinking : Have I paid lots of money to come & see only this lava ?

BUT then we discovered that the island is just amazing and the people the best guys we ever met.

Good job! Now that's some beautiful footage! :D Did you know that there used to be another airline that went to Hawaii called "Aloha Airlines"? They used to have operations in the smaller airports of Southern California...

Are the first 2 or 3 rows Hawaiians first class seats for such a short flight it seems pointless...how longs the flight 35 minutes or something?...it's amazing to see how many Japaneses there i remember when i visited Pearl harbour it was full of Japanese paying their respects to the dead Americans, did you go into any lavatubs..or go to the top of the volcano? the Big Island of Hawaii is like Tenerife in many ways..one sides lush greens and the other's not.

@19bootsy68 yep, very short flight, but there are 8 first class seats, and thats pointless in my opinion..

and about the japanese, yes, there are a lot. There were about 4-5 JAL jumbos at Honolulu every day, so the japanes kinda like hawaii :D

I was on top of the volcano on maui 6 years ago, last summer I only made some helicopter flights and walked trough a lavatube.

@amandeuce Yes come to think of it i used to see lots of JAL's as well, did you ever go upto Diamond head crater to watch sunrise...suck an amazing sight...I want to see The Great Homer do a Hawaii trip as well, a nice long flight to SFO or LAX then the 4 hour 40 min flight to HNL, last time i went we went with Virgin Atlantic to LAX and waited 3 hours for our flight to HNL with Hawaiian...what a long day that was..

and weather here in Switzerland is same like in Germany i guess, so I pretty miss those hawaiian conditions..

Watching videos from Hawaii makes 19bootsy68 all sad, it was the place of my honeymoon and we said we would return as a family in the future with children..we did but little did i know only a few months later it would be the last place as family unit as my marriage was doomed, finished, over...such a beautiful place...i think i might..cry myself to sleep as i am a little drunk...the stresses of work err?, Great video by the way Loris, what kinda camera are you using?

@amandeuce Yes...the old bacardi and coke is easy on me unlike red bulls and vodka which gives me heartburn, my ex wife is due to have an operation March 7th i found out today, she has no one to look after her..so i have agreed to stay to see to her and the son until she is well enough to see to herself and the son...yesterday was murder at work, so i hit the bottle...hehe.
