  • Angka leu!

  • History's true value in studying it is to learn from the mistakes of the past. But we humans have a penchant for forgetting much of it as inconvenient.

  • LIBYA- NATO rebels: ethnic cleansing of town with 10,000 inhabitans !

    incl.5000kids

the world ignores this ! Look how intelligently the newspaper does manipulate this ethnic cleansing in the title of the article !

    telegraph. co. uk/news/worldnews/africaandindianocean/libya/8754375/Gaddafis-ghost-town-after-the-loyalists-retreat.html

rebel officer: "We said if they didn't go, they would be conquered and imprisoned. Every single one of them has left, and we will never allow them to come back."

  • is she a witness and still alive?

  • Lol, long live angkor, i hope someday it will tear apart and never rebuild.

  • I know the stuff doll is Bert of bert and ernie the educational tv show. My guess this is the story of a Cambodian who returned from the United States.

  • Can I buy this and have it sent to the United States as a Region 0.

  • lmao

  • Communism is based on the principle that individuals are worthless, so murder, violence & brutal oppression are all merely tools for dictators to use against the people.

The poor ignorantly believe that communism is for them, it isn't. It is for the elite class who seek to rule your nation / the world. Communism is the enemy of the poor & the enemy or the individual.

Communism has deliberately murdered more civilians than any other political system, it is the greatest evil created by man.

  • What kind of language that used in this movie? Khmer? Vietnamese? Thai? Laos?

  • I don't against whoever support Khmer rouge, but I am here for justice, I am here for reason. April 17, Khmer rouge got victory, everyone thought that the war ended, but it was not. Everyone was forced to leave the city and work as slave in country side. Is this what we call a good living? In developed country, they spend billions dollar to feet their people from hunger, but Khmer rouge forced people to get hunger and die. Is this what we call Khmer love Khmer? please give a reasonable answer.

  • Please tell me, if the Khmer rouge loved Khmer, why did they teach children to hate parents? why did they force people to work like slave? Please don't lie me that all this had never happened during Khmer rouge regions. I know what had happened during Khmer rouge. please tell me what was the goal of Khmer rouge? I know that Khmer rouge love Cambodia and protect Cambodia. However, is this what we call love and protection? by brought the country down by increasing uneducated???

  • @Rain2050, today they are not any smarter..just look at their education system...

  • @AhmekKhmer Is that including you?

  • @XShynobiX, yeah I'm pretty much dump but way ahead of you.

  • @AhmekKhmer How..? You can't even spell Dumb

  • @AhmekKhmer; they are smarter; the term rich will be richer and poor will be poorer.

  • @Rain2050, well, there's nothing much to say. The history of Pol Pot is just one of the biggest mistake that human ever made. Well, to answer your question, most Khmer Rouges are farmer, uneducated people from the province side of Cambodia. At the time, during Vietnam- US, Cambodia's king provided shelter for Vietnamese. Since, Cambodia declared itself as Neutral-Nation. President Nixon ordered the US air-force to bomb the viet-cam. border and including many provinces around Cambodia.

  • @Rain2050m kk

  • @Rain2050, Many farmers and other people all around Cambodia were brain washed or you could say listen it was unexpected outcome. Even Pol Pot himself claimed that he didn't know that people are killing other people. Pol Pot lectured all the farmers across country that the US is a bad guy(because they're bombing) and saying that the Cambodian National Army itself is under the US control because at the time Khmer support democracy. So, that's why Khmer Rouges' invasion of Phom Phen happened.

  • @Rain2050, It's true that if Pol Pot never happen. Cambodia will become a very developed country. First of all, if you can go back in time, you can say that Cambodia before Pol Pot's incident is already well-developed compared to other countries around it. And plus, If you think about the 2 million innocent and educated people and many of them are doctoral from all over the world. All those people, I'm sure that if they are alive, their children will receive even higher education.

  • @Rain2050, to conclude this, All I can say is that incident like this do happen. Unfortunately, It happened to Cambodia. And I hope people would understand that people do make mistake. And this is one of the worst mistakes that someone could ever made. Now, It's done. It's history. Just remember it as one of worst nightmares. So, Please people don't say anything rude or saying that Cambodians are dumb. It's all over.

  • @limmer2, Just imagine people, If this incident happened in your country, how would you feel? So, please there shouldn't be anymore hatred. I saw many rude comments and arguments between many people. It's not nice to say such rude thing. You never know if this thing could happen to you, it's unpredictable. So, before you say anything please remember that there will be other people who will hurt mentally just by reading those rude comments.

  • @Rain2050; I lived through the ordeal myself. I can tell you a group of thug backed by the royalty to destroy the country that was governed by Free American Society. Remember in war, it is the people that will suffer. Royalty, politician don't give a damn about normal people lives. If they did, this would not happen.

  • Look carefully! was there any development during Khmer rouge regions? Cambodia was in the darkness, and no relationship with the out side world. Yeah, it is true that there wasn't no corruption during Khmer rouge, and I agree; however, was it a better living life for Cambodian? did khmer rouge love Khmer people and Cambodia or they jealous over the richness and educated people? Most of the Khmer rouge are uneducated, this is the reason they suck up with the communist.

  • @Rain2050, how educate are the Cambodian now with trillions of American dollars?

  • @Rain2050; that not entirely true- top officially are very well educated. It is the henchmen that are not educated. Remember these guerrillas were backed by the Chinese. Their way of torture and killing are taught by the Chinese government.

  • Communist destroyed 2 millions life of Cambodian. They are all innocent; however, they were accused as a spy or CIA, whatever the gang of communist call them. Is it fare for all Cambodian? What is the goal of Khmer rouge? protect Cambodia or jealous over their own race? Those people who follow communist plead that they feel sorry for those 2 millions' deaths. This what they call revolution, and communist will never be better. All Cambodian please bear in mind, COMMUNIST IS DEVIL.

  • @Rain2050, you should read the links I have provided on my youtube page.

  • thank u very much for sharing such a meaningful movie, AhmarKhmer.

i can learn a lot from that 'the past'.

i strongly believe that this won't be happened again..

everyone of us can be a part to develope our nation..

Go..Go..Go.. take part to make our nation moved forwards..

i'm very pround to be born as Cambodia.. we are Khmer Khmer..

  • At least 1.7 million people -- nearly a quarter of Cambodia's population -- died under the 1975-1979 Khmer Rouge from execution, disease, starvation and overwork, according to the Documentation Center of Cambodia.

  • @johngtran, and......???

  • Poor movie. VN army stayed in Cambodia for 10 years. KR & Pol Pot lived in the Jungle for a very, very long time, Pol Pot himself lived in the jungle for 20 years after VN invaded Cambodia & died in the JUNGLE too. KR's Power & Victory Only over the Innocent Khmer People only. The KR like in this movie, it takes only 20 Vietnamese to kill them ALL. They acted very Rude to the Innocent pple. Very Funny. As a matter of fact I watch this movie only about a minute and I stop & I know.

  • @spk969, Yeah I know it was poos because it was direct by Vietnamese. You need about 100000 Viet soldiers to tackles a few Khmer Rouge...

  • waw!

  • FUC KHMER ROUGE I WANT THEM ALL DEAD

  • I watched a bit of this - not more than a khmer soap opera - somewhat of a cultural curio, but not much more I'm afraid. Obviously, if this were the real thing, the woman and both her daughters, once off the plane, would have been dragged off to the killing fields and done away with. The story as told here is completely implausible.

  • @sborges433 idiot...its bcause her husband was part of the angker leaders thats why. if you watch the whole thing maybe you'd understand..he sent her to come back from paris...so his family would be a part of this.

  • @LMAO4real I understood that kiddo - its quite clear right from the start. For anyone who knows even a tad of recent Cambodian history also knows that such a thing would be totally out of question - even if a plane from Paris were to land in Cambodia during the Khmer Rouge - something nearly impossible - all family members would have been killed right on the spot. Now go back and read some more before calling others idiots. Friggin' fool!

  • @sborges433 no dude! they weren't allowed to touch n e foreigners. That was the agreement if they did it would start a war with the country..i know alot about the khmer rouge jack ass. This is just a movie ...where they want you to be in her shoe to follow through...if they freakin killed her right on the spot there would be no movie idiot. And plus they wanted people to do hard labor...so they wouldnt kill her right there and they needn't the children to become there little soldiers!

  • @LMAO4real From your very profound arguments and inspired thoughts, I see that your knowledge of recent Khmer history is "awe-inspiring" - you leave dilettantes like David Chandler, Ben Kiernan & Philip Short in the dust.....impressive! Oh so impressive!

  • @sborges433 Finally a very good opinion among this paranoic statements. You know, here, under these films, I read all the time that for everything are blamed Vietnamese. (There are also in our country or in Europe some insane people who blame for everything Jews). It' similar. Of course all the people who are interested in Cambodia genocide know that Po Pot hated Vietnamese and was helped by Chinese. It's very good that you wrote names of D. Chandler, Ben Kiernan. I will add Francois Poncheaud.

  • @ewa184 Thanks for the compliment. I read Poncheaud a good many years ago - quite a book, especially detailing the horrors of the Khmer Rouge. From what I read on the topic, due to Cold War shadowplay, Pol Pot was actually favored, to some degree, by the West and it was up to Vietnam to single-handedly trigger Pol Pot's demise. I am still amazed on how Vietnam was able to do this, without any help, and especially after years of very bloody war with the French and Americans. Impressive.

  • @sborges433 Thank you. I have to write here also about those people who came back to Cambodia during Pol Pot regime (because you discuss this topic). Unfortunately there were such people who believed Pol Pot's propaganda and returned f.ex. soldiers of Lon Nol who were on military practice in USA , (over 200 people), pilots who studied in Tahiland, some people from France. They were all murdered. It is said that about 1700 people returned from abroad during KR regime - most of them were killed.

  • @ewa184 We blame everything on AH YOUN because it's true! They caused the war and made neighboring countries like Laos and Cambodia suffer!

  • @khmerpreah401 Sorry, but you can't say that way, that only Ah Youn are blamed; firstly you are too young to remember that, secondly you live in USA so you don't have good background insight, thirdly there are very good historians who say that mostly Pol Pot and his chinese allies are blamed for genocide in Cambodia.

  • great movie

  • Tragedy! never 20 years now and I still cried and cried whenever i watched this movie. It cannot stopped my tears running down on my cheeks even in the next 20 years. I firmly believe it never absence of the past - Cambodia.

  • -Why Politics form look sad to human in somewhere in this world.

-Democracy or Socialism aren't the best way . it just least bad.

-i agree ,peace in mind of individual human is the best way not for only all human but also all nature.

  • Great

  • this movies was about the time my mum was 7 years old in cambodia.

  • wow, this movie is actually very good, very intense!!

  • When was this movie released? I've never seen it, can't be released in 1975 because the country didn't look like that back in 75, 1979 maybe?

  • That's what i thought too. It probably film in 1979 because u can see the destruction was not clean up yet. So it might be released around the 80.

BTW is it called "Kuk Et JenJiang" (Prison without wall)? Cos I know there are only 2 or 3 KR film related that was filmed. I only heard about it but never saw it.

  • @s7k001 Of course its not from 1975!!!! This is an 80s khmer production.

  • Horrible ! horrible ! horrible ! cant see these again ! I feel I was there ,so sad so tough ,so scare !

  • This is horrorific.

  • One word: Eugenics

  • i get so mad when i saw that little girl holding a gun to the child mother. i hate to see people using violence to get what they want.
