The English "herb" came from the Old French "erbe," which (as you may have noticed) does not start with an "h." It ultimately came from Latin, and words from Latin commonly have silent H's (such as honor). I think honestly that what Venus's problem is that while she is somewhat studious in her collected information she is using old, futile methods that should no longer apply to what Satanism should involve. What she presents steers more toward much of what Ford does albeit in a amateurish way, and aren't clearly understood methods to observers. They are also old hat.

Large followings are human herds, (organ-ized) and in the same mannar smaller groups are meta-stized and far more potent and can overthrow the entire system. And in scope no human pursuit is long term. But I have had part in several productive groups, council based with core membership, and lasted years, consisting of all types of satanists. Even a few lucyferans :D

The English "herb" came from the Old French "erbe," which (as you may have noticed) does not start with an "h." It ultimately came from Latin, and words from Latin commonly have silent H's (such as honor). Brits added the voiced "h" just a couple centuries ago, probably based on idiots saying it as it was spelled. So no, Americans aren't crazy; the Brits who pronounce it aspired are stupid.

Diane Vera is someone I've done work with in the past, and who I've been in contact with as recently as six months ago. Though I feel she's barking up quite a few "wrong trees," she has my respect.

Before you get all pissy on "LaVeyans", you'd do well to remember a few facts:
1) only "LaVeyan Satanists" have been published by a major house
2) "LaVeyan Satanists" dominate the mass media exposure of Satanism, and a few exceptions only prove the rule
3) Despite internet pretentions to the contrary, there is no IRL brick and mortar Satanic Church, of any stripe. But LaVey came the closest in the late 70's/early 80's.

Well, it's beyond me that a person who calls herself a satanist would appeal to law (which is mundane) in order to deal with "bullying" (lol). should be taken as a challenge and, if you are strong about your point, you would conquer with excitement.
Anyways, most of the Venus' stuff is on the level of Wikipedia without real insight into the matters. It's beyond me how someone can call her a leader of "spiritual satanism". A (useless) idol? maybe. Leader - hardly.

@mabon2011 I don't see that we need to build bridges at all. Or for that matter use diplomacy, to quote nietzche "all life is a war for existance, and a will to power". I can't stand that weak role people take... Sure a large following can be strong but not mean anything, look at christianity. Why challenge at all if you won't challenge or question EVERYTHING? HATE MAKES US STRONGER, unless you want us to gather around the campfire and sing kumbyah, see if that works.
