  • i think its the orginal balintawak. using a much bigger sticks unlike other balintawak system today using only twigs lol

  • @ulitawito yes it is.. the original balintawak is created for combat, not for demonstrations, its purpose is to end the fight right away....

  • the problem with those pp; who said that this is not balintawak is that they are blinded by their ego.... thinking that their style or lineage is the only true balintawak system, well im sorry but u r mistakenm maybe u only know those popular lineage of villasin,velez,atillo.taboada,tabimina.elizar,gaabucayan....etc etc..but what anout those linege or student who train secretly under GM bacon, specially those rich chinese kids...specially those chinese kids from Balagtas, cebu city,

  • This is balintawak no doubt about it, they are from the purist lineage of Master Ted Buot, And with regards to those ppl who criticize this video and cried out loud that this is not balintawakm try to do some research on the history of this perticular art from Gm bacon down to his students b4 he died. anf You will see that there are different styles of balintawak that emerge depending of the preference of the stufents of GM bacon. t

  • Please may we have some more as promised

  • pwerting layo-a sa kamatuoran. Unta dili na lang apil apilon ug gamit ang ngalan ni GM anciong bacon. ma-uwaw unta mo.

  • PART-2 I think it is disrespectful and irresponsible to judge a man's entire skill level based on a small demonstration clip intended to show the isolated quick-kill methods of the art. For those of us who were or still are beginning students of Balintawak and Sifu Dave, that clip was very helpful for us when starting out to see just how quick Balintawak can end a fight, and gave us inspiration as well as a better understanding in order to move on to the faster flow of the art. Thanks Sifu.

  • PART-1 As a private student Sifu Dave Hatch for the last three years, I can tell you that he is extremely talented in FMA, including Balintawak. Sifu Dave has even had the honor of teaching the Anciong-Buot Balintawak method at the Inosanto Academy in California by request of Guro Dan Inosanto himself. Sifu Dave was a private student of Ted Buot for 15 years, up until Mr. Buot's unfortunate stroke, and he is still very close with the Buot family.

  • There are elements of Balintawak I see in this video. Perhaps more flow into what's being demonstrated here can clarify that better.

  • i agree... it isn't "balintawak". i was trained by my father who was trained under the Monnie Velez. as far as the art is concerned... dili kana mao!

  • David

short but to the point, Rich Lamoureaux

check out my Kali Demo on youtube,

    type in cdf academies.

  • in my opinion i think its better to post it like " Ted Bout Balintawak " ... (^_^) peace bro

  • not to desrespect but i really dont see balintawak sorry... hasula ani kita paka sa tinoud ikaw ari dire cebu dili dinha michagan ari diri suwayi para makakita ka unsai tinuod na balintawak sweto sad ka da.......

  • This is still Balintawak. Don't judge by this short clip.

  • that not balintawak eskrima im from cebu and i trained with the velez brothers(WOTBAG'S masters Monnie,Eddie, chito) and also with master henry jaime ... ands thats not balintawak eskrima ... please dont use the name of balintawak and GM anciong bacon just to get attention we take pride in our native martial arts please respect ...

  • That is balintawak, directley from Ted Buot who is from Cebu and lives in michigan. You disrespect a direct relative and student of Anciong's. His teaching is rare and this is how Master Buot has taught it. If you want to see the differences come and train with us here in michigan. You are very welcome to come and we would love to have you

  • yeah i agree using Anciongs name is not the way to go...i dont see balintawak in that video. gotta show some skills bro REAL balintawak skillz.

  • hmmmm why not?

  • botbot lang ang agi..... intawon di gyud great GM anciong ang gibuhat...... pataka lang mo ug post sa iya ngalan.....Please don't use the name of our Great Grand Master Tatang Anciong.... di gyud ni iya style....

  • Ted Buot is one of the direct students of Anciong back in late 70's that's for real... He trained with the master the old way, that's what I suppose they're implying with "Balintawak Anciong Method", but if they want to represent that method the proper way, as I said before, is applying techniques in agak, that IS THE REAL ANCIONG METHOD, THE REAL BALINTAWAK ESSENCE! Anyway, repeating myself endlessly, PLEASE show some skill in random play if you want to be taken seriously.

  • DO NOT post this shameful kind of videos mentioning the great GM Anciong Bacon (name dropping) just mention your Instructor's name (Buot?).What a shame...research more!!!

  • I dont see balintawak in this video...

  • Looking forward to further Materials from the Buot Lineage! (Rare stuff so far...)

    :)

  • I agree, it would be better if the applications were done within the "agak". Showing videos of isolated "techniques" contradicts the Balintawak training philosophy.

No hard feelings, but this video resembles another FMA art, and not Balintawak, if you catch my drift.

Hope to see more videos from the poster in the future.

  • Very brief look, INDEED... Since Balintawak teaching method has always relied in one on one practice, it would be better for your skills to be shown that you up a video showing the usual practice... No offense, but you could keep going publishing videos of isolated "techniques" that don't reflect the real Balintawak training philosophy...

  • hahahahahaha. Your video brought tears to my eyes. I couldn't stop laughing. Seriously, nothing wrong with the "techniques", but to label it as 'Anciong method'!?! C'mon guys, more than anything, it's an obvious, blatant attempt to ride on Anciong's name.

  • Yes, really.

  • aahhh...really??
