I got this stand and I had the issues you noted - basically it didn't seem stable at all. - I got the icarpus stand and it's nice. Small, easy to attach and super stable. Check it out.

@adrianisen Works great but you need a 'lip' to clamp on to. So It works great with a naked note, or a thin case (I have the ringke slim). It can't grab my thick leather case, and I expect something like the casemate tough case won't work either.
