Eric Ross has already marketed this idea and so he has got to it first, this would technically count as a copy and is not very original.

@TheCrawlingHomeless Eric Ross' idea is not original either, similar effects have been around for a long time. Cards a cross for example. Derren Brown, does one with Jonathan Ross and his wife where they both turn over the same card. In magic everything is a copy, we are standing on the shoulders of giants.

1.) Saw someone do some backpalm card productions in my spanish class. I had to learn how to do it and it just snowballed from there. Watching David Blaine's "Street Magic" tv special also greatly encouraged me.

2.) Started practicing at the beginning of high school, so about 10 years ago. It definitely went in phases though. Some months I never touched a deck of cards, other months I always had one in my left pocket.

@DecksAndContests i have like the exact same story. when i went to disney world when i was like 5 this guy in the park just said "look i have a card no watch poof!" and he backpalmed and to me when i was 5 i was amazed and the he made it reapear and he kept doing that and i was blown away. from then on i was hooked on magic and never stopped.

3. If you are a beginner, Card College is a great place to start. I plan on teaching everything I know about card magic eventually on this channel, so you may not need many other resources. If you are intermediate-advanced I would absolutely recommended Derren Brown's "Devil's Picturebook", Ben Earl's "Past Midnight", Michael Vincent's "Elegant Deceptions", James Brown's "Still Fancy a Pot of Jam", and anything by Guy Hollingworth.

@thegreathaldini I just checked out Election to see what everyone was talking about. It is a similar idea, with a slightly different handling. The trick should not be credited to Eric Ross though. He did package it up with his own presentation and started to sell it, but It is a very basic principal and I'm sure many people used it before Eric.
