thanks! Mosport is my favorite track (and I've been all over the east coast)
Re set-up, its constantly eveolving and changing, but actually, that day, it was far from optimal. Tires were completely cycled out and there were other issues as well.
The Ferrari was driven very awkwardly, but made for good video :-)
Awesome job with the MK 1.5! SMP is a great track, it is by far one of my favourite local tracks a side from Mosport GP. Yeah, some setup info would be great, you should include it in the comments!
@TerryMMA85 It's all on the owner Terry, there is ZERO insurance coverage on a track, this is even true with Hagerty's race car insurance during actual hot laps, that only covers you during parade laps.
As an owner of a twin-charged AW11, hats off to the driver. Yes, there is an 800lb weight difference and the MR2 is giving up 150-180bhp, but that Ferrari was not driven well at all. For those wanting to build Corvette/Ferrari killer AW11's, don't go over 350bhp, the chassis can't handle anymore than that...found out the hard way, now I limit mine to 335bhp or about 268 at the wheels.
in all fairness to the crappy ferrari driver. his car does cost the price of like 500 of those MR2. even with the price including the swap to a turbo'd motor.
Geez Tommy that was better than you "reeling in the 911" I watched that video over 10 years ago when you still had an SC12 in the back of that thing. Good job!
Yes. There several more laps than recorded (snipped), but Bill was more aware than the driver, and I wanted to be polite and wait for a point by rather than simply take a corner (event rules). There were only 2 official pass zones and the 430 has more power. After Bill pointed by, he figured the F430 would follow my lines, but couldn't hang on...at least 5 sec off the pace

sweet job in the MR2, good driving skills. Maybe you could teach the idgit in the ferrari how to drive 'cause he can't drive for squat.

that is what hot rodding is all about, taking a cheaper car, modding it and beating on some expensive competetion, well done.

You kinda have to make it obvious as so much is going on in a drivers head, I like to make it seen, so that everyone knows what is going on.
