Clock Chimes Again On Historic Worcester Bells.

I rang on the new ten here on Saturday and had a look above too... CCC are to be congratulated on their part on a fantastic example of conservation, of the unique sound of these six bells.

If this clock strikes the St. Martin's chimes, how come they're ringing Plain Hunt on 6 at the end of this video?

@Whittingtons Because, as the video (obviously) demonstrates, these bells can play a few other peels!

@jdatkinson85 So I presume that the clock chimes are automatic and the bell-methods need to be switched 'on' and 'off'.

@Whittingtons Indeed, all automatic. The video shows the hammers in action, all of which are controlled electronically. The peel and speed can be selected via a control panel in the church.

The work was done by the Cumbria Clock Company. A successful job and the bells have been heard for the first time in 100 years! The parish is very happy.
