I have a question, is Final Fantisy XIII ONLY for Playstation 3 or is it also for Xbox 360? @brendude95 well you see, u are wrong, u dont even know what u are talking about, the cutscenes on 360 ARE in HD and NOTHING is removed from the game, the only thing u got right was the compression, but that is negated by multiple disks.

Hey, I have have grown up a bit since that post xD.

Anyway, the cutscenes on the XBOX 360 are not HD, they are 576p (as in the same resolution I get on normal TV but interlaced), not only are they in SD but they have also been compressed, look at any Youtube compressed 1080p video and it won't be able to hold up against uncompressed 720p or even uncompressed 480p, the cutscenes have major compression lowering the quality. And no, nothing is removed from the game.

None of that matters though, the XBOX 360 is still fairly decent and well worth a play because of how god damn good this game is. What concerns me more is the actions taken by Micro$oft to get this game onto their consoles and the impact it had on development. Micro$oft were obviously throwing money at Square Enix to kick SONY while they were down, completely out of order. And the multiple discs, limited hardware and extended development time completely held the game back.

As much as ive wished that some games would come out on a different format, im a big fan of having exclusive games as well. Something about having games being exclusive to a console makes me proud owning said console. Each should have its own identity:  Wii for casual multiplayer, 360 primarily for FPS games, and the ps3 for RPGs. You start to blur the line between them, and all people start caring about is cost, eliminating the incentive.

I would have gotten a PS3 instead of an Xbox if I had known Xbox had the red ring at the time. I had no idea about it. But I haven't gotten it yet, knock on wood. Also, the xbox had more games out that appealed to me at the time when I was looking. I might go for this new PS3 slim though.

No because 1 Blu-Ray Disk is 50gb there is no need for more than 1 Disk for any PS3 title.

@walmartpimp2 there is actually a reason for that, see, Final Fantasy numbers are more like volumes than actual sequels, which each number having a different world, setting and characters, Cloud is not in this game because he only exists in the Final Fantasy 7 universe, he is not in Final Fantasy 1,2,3,4,5,6,8,9,10,11,12,13 or 14

Its scheduled for release near the end of 2009 for the Playstation 3 in japan only then in 2010 everywhere else in the world on both Playstation 3 and Xbox 360. So you only have to wait about another year :P Unless of course your Japanese.
