Given the microphone, we have no way to judge the true quality of this singer's voice, and the last note is truly awful. He has talent no doubt, but he really needs to train seriously for a few years to unlock his potential.
The New Pavarotti ? Have you even heard of the great Puccini ? If so you haven't got a clue what you're talking about. No one ever again will ever compare to the great one, Puccini that is. Piero Barone is 18 & a spinto tenor; Ignazio Boschetto, 17, is a lyric tenor, & Gianluca Ginoble, 16, a baritone/heldentenor. They are exceptionally talented & enormously popular.. Comparing Costel to Barone is a compliment, because Piero is one of the best young singers in the world.

Este señor primero debe tomar clases de canto, es un desastre, patina en los tonos bajos, el fraseo es asqueroso, los agudos son horrorosos. No voice can match or replace his. His voice defied nature. Luciano is the Great Man, The Maestro - now and forever. Pavarotti was an opera singer... This guy is another Lanza.. Couldn't make it through the first 45 minutes of the first act. He made it look like he could hardly make it through this song. But it is nice to see someone who enjoys opera.

The new Pavarotti? Uh, no.
Why are so many looking for "The New Pavarotti?" There IS no new Pavarotti. There is only the void left from losing the greatest tenor of, at least, the past 100 years. No voice can match or replace his. His voice defied nature. Luciano is the Great Man, The Maestro - now and forever. Sorry, you'll have to wait 100 years to hear such beauty - and then only if you get very, very lucky.

@dee1153 You tell 'em brother!! The Master's Voice was a miracle of nature, particularly in the 60's, 70's and 80's, but most people only know him from the 3 Tenors concerts of the 90's. Pavarotti Forever!!
However, I do appreciate the aspirational value of recognizing Pavarotti as the ultimate reference point when it comes to the magic of the real Tenor voice. It's adorable. Check out, on youtube, "Pavarotti - If I were only a Tenor!"

@dee1153 he was very good and he coul sing very fast for a tenor,but guys like darren hayes promise to. And hopefully you didn't forge Lussi Bjorling,one of the best tenors ever,Pavarotti's idol.You can find his recording of Nessun dorma in 1944,not THAT long ago.and it's incredible

Pavarotti was an opera singer... This guy is another Lanza.. Couldn't make it through the first 45 minutes of the first act. He made it look like he could hardly make it through this song. But it is nice to see someone who enjoys opera.
