you cannot try to post a video and give people a sense of false security, you need to be thorough with your teaching so that if an individual does have the opportunity to save his/her life through the act of refraining from your reaction to gun scenario/teaching you would have saved their life versus jeopordizing it just giving thoughtful advise cool pistol BTW : )

teach the student how to react from a variety of different situations; not everyone holds the firearm in the same position, and you have to take in the account each situation in which an individual will be faced with the threat of a firearm in the hands of the criminal. 1rst situation - will involve escelation of a less dangerous situation you are maybe having a verbal dispute then perp pulls out a pistol -motive of the criminal is to administrate authority

It is also at your discretion to articulate the reaction of the individual pulling the pistol, fast means your getting shot at, slow means he wants you to see his weapon to show you what he is capable of ; this is when you have to decide if you have enought time to distract him with a question then wait two seconds before quickly incapacitating his eyes the question puts his guard down and the pain will be too much to bear

In a robbery your really only having the gun put to your head for money it is nothing personal, the motive is the money for the perp I would personally cooperate in that situation but I will keep in mind the advise from the second comment I made; then you have an incident that is personal where an individual felt they needed to get revenge on you for something my advise for this is to watch the people you are around

One technical point (quite important I think) - they use a real gun, and for safety, they removed the magazine, but HE DIDNT CHECK FOR THE BULLTET IN THE BARREL!!! You can never be sure, that there isn't one, you should always check if you are practicing with real gun. (I actually know one case of such failure when my close friends were doing some "fun" with real guns, and one of the guys was very, very lucky that he was not killed, the unexpected shoot missed his head)

Hi it's true if running away from a gun,you have to run in a ziz zag motion,and keeping the distance from you a the gun man.I have been trained in using guns,and weapons.I was also taught to keep as low as possible while running.Keep the target small.Another thing about the video,is you should guard the eyes from the firing of the gun.you would have to train yourself to cope with the flash,and sound of the firing gun,and.you should train using blanks.

Yeah, but that's the point he's making, the average street tough with a gun has no real proficiency with the weapon and if they have their finger that far across the trigger, they are not going to be very accurate, etc.

That was horrible. Instructor comes off as arrogant and the technique was not good for gun or knife... maybe stick and empty hand.

I love how a country that doesn't allow people to have guns believes it knows something about gun defense.

then you rely on your bodies ability to move off the line alone to geet off the line of attack rather then your movement plust you moving his gun. once off the line of attack you can use any number of defencive moves to take the gun, take out the attacker, or prefrably both at once

The lock is a wrist lock which can cause a lot of pain. Notice that the attacker is already off balance after the lock is in place, so attacks from other limbs are not a concern for a short while before you can knee him, drag him to the ground and stomp/knee his head.

OK-good gun defense in one scenario. Two points of critical importance IMHO. First, when he checked his gun, he did not verify that the chamber was empty at 1:53, nor did his uke check it, either. I'd assume that it's a live weapon and act accordingly.

At 2:45 the instructor says to keep the gun away from the LOF, but does not advise to trap the gun and direct it away from others first.

picky, yes, but if I trap a gun, Im not redirecting the LOF into my kids or my wife or friends. peace&love
