Yeah they were big in size, those car cell phones. My mom had a big ass Radio Shack car phone with an antenna on it in the late 80's, when her & dad had the Dodge Caravan back then. LOL To think about it now, it's funny, that thing was really big in size for a car phone. ha ha I'll third that and fourth that, TV now days Blows!

Life was so much better back then without cell phones. People would actaully come over to talk instead of wasting money with landline phones.

@bobbystj Not everyone had a cellphone back in the 80s. I said "wasting money with landline phones" because it usually cost a few cents depending on how many minutes you were talking to someone. Now its relatively cheap with pre-paid plan.

Cell phones give people more excuses to be late for an arranged meeting. It used to be that when you made plans, you were expected to show.

It's sad that people spend more time connected via cell phone and internet then they do in person. Being a constantly connected society has actually had the opposite effect in our social lives.

I often wish that the internet and cell phone networks would go offline for one week.

@DamianColucci Yeah, Because wasting money on a phone to call someone who doesn't live anywhere close to you, Not to mention another country, Yeah it's totally worth it to buy a plane ticket every time you feel like talking or asking them.("Life was so much better back then without cell phones." I know, I said the same thing, lol. It would be interesting if they incorporated the Parkinson's disease that MJF has into the character of Alex, too, if they did a reunion show. It would be interesting to see how the character of Alex has evolved because of it, along with the family. I think it could be very touching and maybe even informative, if MJF was okay with it.
