Toronto gets a steal with picking up Julius James WOooooooo. And I'm not American, but I gotta admit they do produce amazing goalkeepers. Tim Howard is great and so is Guzan. I'm not sure about the best goalkeeper in the Prem but maybe top 3 or 4. Shay Given, Van Der Sar and Cech are up there.

Michael Bradley should be considered as a realistic option for the US national squad, this kid made excellent progress the last couple of months. One of your finest prospects I'd say (although I don't know much bout US football/soccer, I'm pretty confident he is).

Friedel is the best us keeper. Scottish league isn't great but still a lot better than mls. Figo, regardless of age, could play easily in mls. the standard is apalling, beckham must be kicking himself, he could have played in England or italy for 3 more years.

No it isn't, sure the top teams like Celtic and Rangers and maybe others like Aberdeen and Hearts are better. But overall MLS is better. Seriously teams like Motherwell would easily be defeated by Dynamo or even Galaxy

MLS admits that they are lower compare to european leagues.

They invited Celtic to play against MLS All Stars in 2007. The latter won 2-0.

DC United beat Celtic 4-0 so yes, the MLS All Stars vs Celtic was a bit odd. Nevertheless, most MLS followers know their place. MLS will only get better but its never going to be better than the EPL, Serie A, La Liga since their is a salary cap rule, it has to compete with the NFL, MLB, NBA and NHL and a country whose majority do not like the game. All the resources and athletic talent do not go to this sport.
