How did you fix the texture problem? With ATI drivers and DX10 you get missing ground textures. You have DX10 running, but what version of cata are you using?

If you watch the video carefully, it shows at the first seconds that the Catalyst used was the 9.6. The game was broken on Catalyst 9.8.

1404 is a bit on the heavy side. I'd say start with 1701. Not all "Mobility Radeons HD" are the same though! ;)

yup i did it on my PC, which is similar to yours. I got few lower class PC part's than u. I mean 2gb ram, winXP, GF7300(same).

Run it on mediam quality, ale full water reflections, and its gone well. GLm8

I think that if you read Beepa's FAQs you will learn what you want.

In a nutshell, FRAPS is a program and as such, it features some settings. It can just display the framerate, record what you see or take a screenshot. The function keys to do so are customisable and can be accesed by right clicking on the system tray icon and selecting settings.

Under the "movies" tab, you can find the framerate options when recording.

fps sucks hard, but I guess thats the games fault, it seems even if a game is PC only, it could still very well suck from a tehnical pov, see STALKER or ArmA games as well. Such a shame, and such a waste, fuck lazy devs and hasteful marketing teqnicues.

Dude this is a great game in every aspect. Don't be so hasty to critisize it, if you haven't played it.

It utilises crossfire out of the box and the framerate is above 60fps most of the time. Some jerkiness you see, is because of the vsync being off. There is a lot of panning in this game. Actually there is only panning in this games, so vsync is a must. I disable it for this video only to see how high it can go.

Fraps uses an overlay feature to display the framerate. It has nothing to do with the cpu. Trust me on that! I have done extensive testing.

In every cpu or gpu i had the past few years, i never saw any performance drop.

I repeat. Fraps screws up the performance ONLY when you press F9 (default) to record with it.

I have even used ATI Tools and Fraps at the same time, with two different framerate indicators on different corners, with no performance drop whatsoever.;)

Fraps onlys affects the framerate if you record with it. If you use it just for the display of the framerate it is ok.

I have heard some rumors about fraps but i have never seen anything bad regarding the framerate. I have done many tests with benchmarks like Crysis, X3, etc with fraps on and off and i always get the same results!

Anno is very heavy with the settings i used in that video.
