Fish don't worry about splashing, they like it..This summer I caught over 20 Chub off the top, using a floating candle....Chum mixer set up... which made quite a splash, didn't bother them at all..and Chub are a wary fish !

Clear bubble floats are far better than controller floats in my opinion and all this about the float going into the water quietly is rubbish, I find that the splash actually attracts fish, I tend to feed my bread with as much of a splash as possible and I catch a lot of big carp. Getting the bait as close to a feature (such as an island) as possible is the most important thing, I know when I cast perfectly tight to a feature I catch the bigger carp. Also use crust from crusty bread its the best.

whahah use a pop up, thats fucking smart. never though about it. I always use bread, but if that gets wett it fall of. And a Pop up not. Thanx for the information m8. Really gonna use it this summer !!!!!!!!

I'm glad ive seen some one else using pop-ups instead of dog biscuits, ive used this method for the past 6 years and ive had some very nice carp from of the top, yet when ive set my rig up and freinds have been fishing with dog biscuits and firing out far to many freebies ie dog biscuits they wonder why ive had a few more then them.
