politics is of no concern to God. freedom is a concern of politics. government social justice will absolutely result in antigod tyranny. social justice comes from each persons heart as charity not a frigging tax by man controlled government.
Go to Africa, Latin America, Asia. Learn from the real Christians of this world. The poor and the oppressed who have faith that moves mountains every day. Go to them and learn what Christianity really is. You don't have a clue and you are blinder than a bat.
You are invested in the structures of power of this world. You are invested in the American Civilization. You confuse scripture with your constitution. Your prayer live is mediocre. You rarely read your bible and you confuse the values of your civilization with those of God. You just don't get it. "My kingdom is not of this world." That's what your supreme leader said. Until you understand what that means there is little hope for you and your churches.
the world is wicked. It is evil. Do you expect it to be good? You American Christian Conservative that votes republican. Yes, you are the problem. You are not salt, you are not light. You want the state to do your job for you. You want the state to change hearts. You want prayer in school but you skip prayer meetings in your own church. You talk about true love waits but you had sex with your wife before you got married.
Something else. Your evangelical/conservative churches are filled with teens having premarital sex (if you don't believe me just look at pregnancy rates and try doing a gynecological exam on the girls). A virgin is hard to find in any fundamentalist church. Stop being a hypocrite and stop blaming the democrats for the wickedness that is within your heart. It is your wives, your daughters, your sons and even you who is wicked. You conservative Christian. You are the problem.
I remember reading a sermon delivered by none other than Billy Graham in 1962 (a decade before Roe V. Wade) in which he laments half a million abortions in America. Only a person who knows nothing about the history of abortion would claim that ending legal abortions would stop them. Stop blaming democrats for abortion. Nobody forces anybody to have an abortion. People do it as an easy way out. They've existed for hundreds of years even before the democratic party ever existed.
Ultimately a vote for Obama will mean a vote for someone who will cram as many liberal pro-abortion judges into the Supreme Court - these votes will translate into the brutal murder of millions more of the most helpless, the "weakest among" us. Good job Rich.
Rich said that we are commanded to do good, "particularly the lot of the most marginalized to whom God shows particular concern: the widow, the orphan, the immigrant, the unborn and their mothers".
This guys are pro-life and that they're looking forward to improve the education and fight against poverty.
I think you have misunderstood what this guys are about. First of all Sojourners don't "fight tooth and nail" for pro-choice causes. Check this video of Jim Wallis debating with Richard Land, in which he makes clear that the unborn and the poor children of the earth "are both among the weak, who should be our central concern" youtube(dot)com/watch?v=MITxNMbVv0s&feature=related
Furthermore, Rich Nathan regards all the criticism in this letter vineyardcolumbus(dot)org/news/letter/index.asp
As many christians that have been brutally killed by Romans, I can't believe that Christians still speak well of them. Wow, history always gives us ROSE COLORED GLASSES!

A vote for Bush is a vote for a couple hundred thousand more dead Iraqi citizens. Round and round we go with this crap.

The work of people from the vineyard has make that the Governor of Ohio Signed the Ultrasound Viewing Option bill to help fight abortion

This comment has received too many negative votes show
Well this made up my mind: I'm not longer attending the Vineyard.
I want a CHURCH, not a worldy political movement that clumsily tries to force scripture to fit its agenda.
In politics, goals and ideals are irrelevant: actual results are what matter.
For heaven's sake, study economics, Christians, before you get taken in by this liberation theology garbage.
Any Christian who embraces pro-abortion politics is a liar.

And yet he aligns himself with people who fight tooth and nail to keep infanticide legal.

Christians are commanded love and pray for their "enemies", and not look for vengeance.
