This is exactly why I have a problem with daytime television and the acting world in general. great african american actresses and other actors of color such as Victoria Rowell get robbed every year. There is no doubt she deserved an emmy once, being the brilliant actress that she is. A majority of people of color on daytime, however few, are rarely rewarded. Or, they are badly written off like Victoria on Y&R and Renee on OLTL. Believe me, I <3 Juilia Barr and I know she is talented, but still

However, the Emmys have no excuse for as of now not awarding a woman of color the Best Actress win, especially when Debbi Morgan at AMC does great. This win, I'd have liked to have seen a tie with Rowell and Barr, both great actresses
don't get me wrong, Victoria is a tremendous actress but the perfomance that year of Julia Barr was magnificent and indeed emmy worthy..the academy got this one right.
I am gonna say it again, AMC should bring back Julia Barr back to the Pine Valley canvas because Barr is one of the finest daytime actresses playing such a heroine. Brooke English is one of my fave heroines.
I wish that they would bring Julia Barr back just for the 40th Anniversary Show and maybe a few episodes (6 months of worth of Brooke, just to finish her storyline and add new twist: Annie as her daughter!!) Firing JB from AMC was a huge mistake!!!!
Which Amy should have won u forget their were two Actress's that year from AW and GL, Josie from AW, and Abigail from GL. By the way wasn't Rhonda Ross Kendrick (Toni AW) nominated for an emmy for Toni's rape?
I meant Abigail from GL...I loved that storyline with her and Rick...I wonder whatever happened to her? Do you know what she's up to now? I remember Rhonda Ross being nominated for younger actress one year..was it that same year?
AMC needs to bring back Julia Barr and have her reprise her role as Brooke, If AMC can bring back Angie and Jesee, and bring back the Old Greenlee, then They should bring back Brooke, She was one of the show's finest daytime female heroines. Brooke has always been one of favorite daytime characters. Please, AMC, Bring back Brooke!!!

I cannot believe they let Julia Barr go! Gosh why didn't they offer her a contract? But good for Barr for refusing to go on recurring status...she deserved a lot better
