My nan has a parrot that can talk all sorts of weird sayings and words. I'm pretty sure that birds do have independent thought. When my mum wouldn't stop talking, the parrot told her to shut up then my mum wouldn't stop talking still so the parrot starting swearing at her. Also when my nan put a budgie in the cage with her , the parrot kept saying 'woe is me, get her out!' and she wasn't even taught that...Parrots are clever creatures

I hope sparky had fun camping! for a while Bo was telling our Germain shepard to shut up when she barks at someone knocking at the door. He likes being sprayed too i see. Bo will go nuts in his water dish and take a bath.

Hey, I have one question. Why sparky feathers have this white fur kind of thing. Mine is also having the same and my brother thinks that mine is plucking her feathers?

Is it true or there is some other reason. I don''t have any vet here that's why I was searching the reason online and found sparky..

@zunaixa Your bird's probably molting. Replacing old feathers. The spraying helps that process.

I fell to pieces when Sparky yelled at Charlie to stop it! My parrot is similar with cages, his old cage is so rusty it is falling apart but he loves it and won't swap to a new one!

Its amazing that when he says the words he actually means it, its not just imitation - look at him getting angry at the dog, the tone changes likewise, then at the other end of the cage when he says "what all this" he is looking around, actually meaning it. Amazing.

Oh thats his old cage ,we cant get him in the new cage ,we will use the old cage in the camper and try again after the camping season,heheheh the new cage just sits without a bird.

Sparky is doing well with his new diet ,he can sing "Hello hello Suzy Baby".
