Seriously, only one fire engine with a little hose??.. Fucking Pathetic. I am a firefighter in the United States and we have actually have real fire trucks with huge ladders on them called "ladder trucks" that go above the building to put the flames out so the building doesn't collapse. Excuse my language but where the hell is the fucking backup. They should be shamed at how little care they gave to the fire.

@truckboy59: the big ladder Trucks were lookign for access to the fire as there was no safe concrete place to get to the fire, the same with all our engines. Also what is the point of rushing to put out the fire anyway, its a total loss, so these guys concentrated their efforts on exposure protection instead, and did a good job!

@truckboy59 we British Firefighters cant fit your BIG, SLOW, HEAVY trucks down our roads...we actually carry ladders on our normal pumps and dont often need 'ladder trucks'. here there was nowhere to set up aerials, the building was already structurally unsafe before the fire and the collapse would have damaged the aerials. also....it was a total loss so they protected surrounding property. job well done. dont tell us how to do our jobs. it's different over here.

@truckboy59 understand British Firefighting methods before you post something like that. the shameful thing is that you americans always think that what you do is right....we do it differently to you. there were far more pumps on the far side of the building...as for real fire trucks.....ours actually carry more equipment than yours on one truck (not loads of different trucks for different things) then we get special truck in if we need them. ours are quicker, more agile etc

@truckboy59 oh and you see those 4 FF's in White Helmets.....they are at the rank of Station Officer or above......you only get those at attendances of 8 pumps or more. plus that hose reel is variable pressure....we can change it to suit what we need.....it also depends on the strength of the water main....here a lot of fire engines are in attendance drawing water from the mains....therefore the mains pressure had dropped and the water company were in the process of increasing it.
