Portia is an inspiration for so many people. lesbians, actresses, girls with eating disorders, anyone who has those feelngs of self-worthlessness, everyone. i know that both these amazing have inspired me to feel comfortable with and love myself. anytime i need a reminder of this, i watch Ellen and Portia or read her book Unbearable Lightness. thank you Ellen and Portia for making me laugh and go "awwhh!" and work to feel better about myself. <3

There were times on Arrested Development when I could hear the conflict of accents as she said certain things. But she's no doubt had to work on it so that she could sound appropriate for the character she plays, and who knows, maybe she'd just rather sound American when living in America?

@iAintNoQuitter Cannot agree more because that's how I deal with myself, too. I wrote down the exact same paragragh you did in order to remind myself everyday that I don't have to act tough all the time and it is ok to expose my vulnerability.
