Although I don't really think fireworks could have killed that many birds, I live on a lake and have set off fireworks on the shore, but I quit when I realized how much the wildlife hates it, in particular when 1 of my rockets grazed a birds nest. We silly humans.

I agree with the suggestion this happens in nature in general but clear up the horse manure... this does not happen all over the world in the same time period regularly or we would have noticed before this.

Fireworks? That's some BS. i live in Naples Italy, and everyone in the city was setting off fireworks legal and illegal, I've only heard about human deaths from those here. What are the chances of fireworks killing THAT MANY birds? and then what about all the deaths since new years, there hasn't been any fireworks since then....The end is nigh
