And when the heck did the Simpsons have a "plot"? And honestly, stating an opinion as if it's genuine fact is just silly. Plenty of people found this gag to be hilarious.
@Chrno34 Losing the plot is an expression. Not literal, durr. And to be honest I agree with him, this was around the time the simpsons started to go downhill. I still watch out of love for the show, but it's lost its heart at this point.
I'm aware that he meant it as an expression, and I stand by that it was a poorly applied turn of phrase. I don't disagree that the Simpsons has lost in its quality, but I don't believe it was around this time when it became more generic in its attempts at humor (IMO). For me, it was around Season 17 where it began to truly degrade. Even then, it's still gets a chuckle out of me, even though it's jumped the shark.
@Amyrose780 It's actually a hangover nightmare, that's what night terrors mean :) They're called "Lizard dreams" in my language, so the "Ah! Cobras!" fits pretty well and is pretty damn funny.
