I have always wanted to learn to play the harmonica, such a beautiful underestimated instrument. Just recently purchased my first one and your lessons are great cant wait to become better from your lessons, your awesome!
I wanna play like this. That all I want. I've had a Harp for a while now but I've never really had the motivation to pick it up until I saw your video "front porch mississippi blues". It touched my soul and now all i want to do is play like that. My biggest issue is I'm having trouble finding a good starting point. can you help? I have a Hohner pro E harp, if that helps the answer any
@sanox15: You might take a look at the pages on my website, Modern Blues Harmonica, marked "quick start for beginners" and FAQs." You should get harps in the key of A for this particular video. You might check out the title cut of my album, "Kick and Stomp," in which I work this riff into a song using a Bb harp. If you're crazy enough for an immersion experience, you might come to Hill Country Harmonica 2011. (Google Hill Country Harmonica.)
@PurpleGummyBear: I use the riff in the opening cut on my new CD, "Kick and Stomp." (The cut and the album are both called that.) Its' on iTunes and Amazon mp3s.
hi great harmonica playing, been following your vids for some time, have you seen the utube video darth vader feeling blue, were luke takes his dads helmet off and he plays an amazing harmonica riff, just wondering do you know who played this awsome song, ive been trying to find it but having no luck...
I had it as an mp3, for sale, for quite a while, but I'm not sure it's still there. It's on the new Satan and Adam album, WORD ON THE STREET, a cut entitled "I Need Your Love." For sale at Modern Blues Harmonica.
luv ur vids but could u say which key this riff is in and name the holes (draw/blow) as u go along......and while I.m here may i ask why do we hav to ajust harps out of the box....they should work properly shouldn't they?????
LOTS of draw work - I'm going to hyper-ventilate if I play this has long has you can... Wait I'm getting light headed... Get me a bag quick!
It's a great riff Adam but the breathing is a little tricky. Took a while but I can do for an extended period now... (Without passing out) Love it all day long!
Amazing stuff as always. I am nowhere near being able to play this stuff, but to see you break it down makes it seem possible lol. Great stuff and thanks for your hardwork.
Thats some nice shit man, thanks for the pleasure of hearing that. Salutes from brazil.

Had to laugh at the eerily apt 'drowning' analogy.
I have totally been there!
It seem most time is spent on draw notes.
Can't wait for part 2.
Thanks again.
