And liberalism has ALWAYS been about freedom (regardless of how an individual thought - it was freedom to decide for oneself). And "liberal" and "liberty" (see the same root "liber"?) are quite related...

@KingRogan I remember during the election taking a hard look at the crowds at Palin and Obama rallies. The Palin crowds were as white as snow with one or two minority sell outs in the crowd. The Obama crowds were filled with various ethic groups. Given a choice I'd rather be in that crowd.
