Keiichi Maebara with Satoshi's baseball bat and Rena Ryuugu with her cleaver goes into an intense battle on top of their school roof........Gee this song matches with the picture of Rena and Keiichi fighting. And also this song reminds me of when Keiichi, Shion and Rena caught the H. Syndorme and killed almost all their friends. (Especially Shion who killed her twin sister Mion, her grandma, the village leader and her friends. Excluding Rena.) I love Higurashi! ^_^

@kittyluver3110 but to be fair, "kawai" exists as a word as well, so I can understand why you thought that.

"kawai" means "poor", as in "poor cat who got thrown in the dust bin" (OK, bad example, but anyway).

And before someone says "No, it means cute!", "kawaii" means cute - the difference lies in the amount of "i" at the end.

Ya thats one of the climax to the last episode, the fight KEIICHI VS RENA, was so emotional. Rena was the first person to be cured of the crazyness. GO RENA :P. Then in season 2 no one goes crazy just theres a killer out there.

Still, his name is unfitting, after tracks like Oshin and Oyashiro Sama he should be Kowai Kenji. :P

I would SO kill for a Video Games Live version of this song. Really diggin' the percussion and synths bassline in this. Say like I'm in a building of a well-known crime lord and I finally caught up with him and yet, somebody who even the crime boss fears is blocking my way and he is a very powerful fighter. All of my tactics, all of my fighting skills and guns won't harm the guy. I must defeat this foe or else. That what I feel when I am listening to this song.

If you take out the horror and mystery and srs aspects of Higurashi, it's a Harem show, and like all good Harem shows, there's no resolution to the love dodecahedron. There could be something between Keiichi and Rena, Keiichi and Mion, Keiichi and Satoko, and possibly (though less likely) Keiichi and Rika.

Rena = the easy target... sort of...

Mion = the more rounded girl (no pun intended)

Satoko = the girl needing protection

All 3 of them are strong possibles.

She's 12, same age as Rika. 3 years difference between Satoko and Keiichi (15). 3 Years isn't huge. It may seem more like it at their ages, but it's really not. 3 years is quite normal. Also, protectiveness becoming romantic attraction is quite common.

Of course, the strongest cases would be for Keiichi x Rena and Keiichi x Mion, plotwise. Satoko was just a distant third posibility.

the reason that she can see Hanyuu is because she were revived by her after dying the first time.

I heard A LOT about "Frederica Berkastel" (known from Umineko) should have a relevant role in this story as well but i havent found any actual information about it

Keiichi's feelings aren't 100% mutual though, I'm pretty sure he has a crush on Mion.
