@nekonron When i try to drag the dds into the archieve for the b.net mpq. Everytime i open the b.net mpq it opens as read only, but i have no read only options checked i spent an hour pissed off last night. I tried run as admin, it opened without read only when i opened the mpq this time. but then it wouldn't let me drag the mpq over. Weird? Yeahh

I created four images, one for each of Terran/Zerg/Protoss/Random, and I made them to the sizes that you specified. Protoss and Random turned out well, but Zerg and Terran did not, because both of them had a bunch of extra room to the left-hand side. (1) Is that supposed to happen? (2) Is there any way to fix it?

@InukuRupted it seems that the background for Terran and Zerg was set to only display after a gap on the left side. Right now there really isn't any way to go around this without actually hacking the game's codes that I'm aware of :(

@skytom137 To be honest I really don't know who was the first person to find out about this, and I doubt a single person found out about it and told the whole world. There are many ways to change your background, this is just one of it. And I didn't steal anything - this was taught to me by a friend and the rest was through trial and error. And last I checked, sharing your knowledge wasn't a crime. Pretty much any tutorial is the sharing of knowledge gained from somewhere else :)

@Shcoff1996 Editing the MPQ *is* against the ToS so yes, it's possible you may get banned for this. However, many players, including pro-gamers such as oGsMC, does this and no one has reported a ban yet. So yeah, do this at your own risk :)

I followed this exactly and also encountered the error of not having a login screen when starting SC2. Of course, I backed up all files and just implemented the original b.net mpq's. However, that means I don't have my background. Any luck on solving the problem without losing your login screen?

@ArchonOverwhelming what file did you overwrite? the original dds files can be opened with Photoshop or Paint.net

If you're using Photoshop, you will need to download the Photoshop DDS plugin
