So Jesus is the God with Whom He is.? By itself answered yes is not yet modalism Perfect unity of Trinity is in that question.Yes Jesus is the God with Whom He is. I understand what James is doing but by itself he would be wrong to call the man a modalist.Because Oneness of Jesus being the God of Whom He is, is never autonomous.He is the God of Whom He is by Trinity. The next question so you believe that only one Person is God bang I got him.The second question yes you get him but not the first.

@dking2ushawty21 Because the bible clearly says the LORD our God is one LORD. Isa 9:6 the Son who is given is called The Mighty God,The Everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace. Isa 13:6 and 44:6 call Jehovah the Mighty God, the first and the last. In Rev.1:8,11,17 the risen Christ applies these titles to himself.The bible this one God manifest himself as Father Son and Holy Ghost.Trinitarians got eternal generation from the heretic Origen who got it from Plato and Aristotle, pagan philosophers.

The trinity is often seperated by evangelicals even James White when the three are One but seperated by death in Christ.Many belivers say God died on the cross. Here White is saying Christ is a distinct person which is true but seperates God and believes the Father and Spirit can still be God when Christ dies as God on the cross. In his words bing! Wow, this is so true bro, ive spoken with so many Trinitarians who speak as if they are Oneness and they don't realize it until i point it out to them. Amen! Dr. White has defended the Trinity against "Oneness" theologians, Jehovah's witnesses...etc. He debated Mr. Sabin, and Sabin had no defense. He did a radio discussion with Dr. Bernard and asked him at least twice if Dr. Bernard would be open to having a 3-hour debate on this topic. I don't think Dr. Bernard ever even responded to the challenge.

Debates with people who alter the definitions of the words in the bible are usually fruitless. Why? If you corner people like White on ANY topic, they will simply try to alter the definition of the word. The most prevalent example of this is the word 'person' which we see in Hebrews 1:3, the same word used by Tertullian. That word, 'person' means substance, nature, or being.

If White said the earth was flat and I refused to debate him, would that make me wrong and make the earth flat?

Yeah, I think anyone who heard the radio "debate" between Dr. White and Dr. Bernard knows perfectly well why Dr. Bernard would not respond to a debate challenge from Dr. White. It was Dr. Bernard who could not answer questions about Scripture and had to constantly jump around to texts that were irrelevant to Dr. White's questions. This video is a perfect example of the dishonesty of the "Oneness" position. It is taken completely out of context.

Stafford is a JW which I am not, but shuts Dr. White down to the point of frustration over defineing "Greek" terms andsuch in scripture. TriuneApostolic, one of the only reasons why the KJV to me is superior to the NASB, is that James White was involved in translating the NASB. When people translate with doctrinal agendas, it compromises the accuracy.

People like James White like to re-define words though they had meant something else for 2000 years, simply because the word and its meaning are inconvenient to their doctrine.

Ironically, the NASB translates the word 'person' as used by Tertullian to mean nature or substance.

It is important to understand that some Unitarians believe that Trinitarians are "daughter churches of the Roman harlot" because we believe in the Trinity. Nothing could be further from the truth, however, as Church history testifies to the Trinitarian doctrine long before there was a Roman Catholic Church. A defense against the false teachings of Unitarianism and Patripassionism was the reason for the explanation of what we call the Trinity. The Trinity did not develop out of thin air, but as a defense against what could be called "Oneness" today (which is really Monarchial Modalism).

@Truthorfable - the key thing here, is that White is not saying that 80% of Christians correctly believe in modalism,... his point clearly is that a great percentage is are confused about the eternal persons of God. Clearly, White is in NO WAY endorsing the heretical, modalist view of the Almighty Godhead. Jesus is the Eternal Son of God- that's not a 'theory', it's just clearly all scripture.
