some of the most brilliant comedy ever, is when John Cleese gets irritated... and every minute Marty is on film is worth watching......"What hump???????"
ah well my neighbour bridget lydon back home always she liked him on the old b/ white bush tv in ireland long ago long gone are them days bridget as well and marty rip both pb manchester.
Oh god, I nearly fell out of my chair laughing! I love Marty Feldman and John Cleese. I wish Marty were still around. Comedic genius, he was. This stuff may well be "before my time", but good comedy is funny forever.
Marty Feldman was a bloody marvel! Hardly anyone I know can remember him and we're all in our 40's. This character he's playing makes me think of modern day Civil Servants. Believe me I've met many of them and they couldn't find their arses with both hands if you pointed at it for them.
@airscrew1 I remember him well and I feel like he was the best of the British TV & film comics. I grew up near Canada and we could get CBC and a few other Canadian TV channels. They aired a lot of shows from the BBC, so I was able to see many great shows in their first seasons(not re-runs!): Monty Python, On The Buses, Marty Feldman & many other shows. It truly shaped my sense of humor and vocabulary.
Very good, and sure Feldman was a great comedian. But forgotten? No, hardly. There are several british comedians who are less remembered today, some still alive and active but not generally recognized as comedians. How about Tim Brooke-Taylor, for instance?
A bit annoying at first, but fun by the end. Miss you, Marty.

Does anyone know where to find Feldman's "Ay oh Fry" sketch where he plays a rag and bone man? I've been looking for that one for ages.

The music at the beginning was the same from the "death of Mary Queen of Scotts" from the Exploding penguin sketch Monty Python did.

@marshyman69: It might interest you that the correct phrase is "plane sailing" (as though the Earth was flat and not spherical).

Well now, this has to be the best comedy sketch ever. Marty Feldman is weirdly brilliant and most underrated.
