My seagate momentus XT is faster than that sad shit you got in your macbook pro homes. and i don't need sad shit for storage, use that fucking 8 gig ssh cache for booting up the shit and all my applications ese.
BTW i am a real hispanic so i have the right to talk like that.
No man. What you're doing is bad. Imagine Mr.salsa sees this video: he says"hmm, macbook air far better. " so he goes apple store, buy it. SURPRISE. YOUR MACBOOK AIR IS ONLY 1,7Ghz AND THE PRO HAS 2,8GHz!! You fool. Why? Because he saw an old pro compared to a new air. And also that the old pro and new one are same
How can you compare a 2011 MacBook Air that runs on SSD to and old MacBook Pro?? It's like comparing apples and oranges. I just brought the new MacBook Pro wit SSD and the i7 and it's just as fast as the new MacBook Air. The Air is like an iPad Pro is way better
No wonder the Macbook Air is so much faster than the 2010 Macbook Pro. The obvious reason is not only the 5400RPM slow hard drive, but the Core 2 Duo processor, which it's super slow in Lion. That's why it took so long to boot up IMO. Either way the Air would've won, but the Read and Write speeds on the current Macbook Pro is 3 times faster than it's predecessor.
I have the slower Toshiba SSD witch at first really disappointed me, however, realistically i don't notice it in every day use. I see myself as an average user, so if you'r not using your MBA for a lot of heavy video editing then dont feel bad about it.
The bootup time of the machine is the same as the SM SSD and as is the most commonly used work apps like office for mac
iMac 20" 2008, 2.4Ghz, 1GB 800Mhz RAM, read and write both around 40Mb/s, GeekBench score 3500. Macbook (white) late 2009, 2GB 1333 Mhz RAM, 2.26 Ghz (both Core 2 Duo), didn't test it yet. lol. And I use Logic with like 30 tracks per beat on the iMac. Going to get the 27" Quad Core iMac in a year though!
Do you think a MacBook Air would be a good main computer, because i am thinking about getting a new Mac. But i can not decide between the new MacBook Air 13 and the MacBook Pro 13 2011 models?? please help... :(
I'm getting a new netbook for school, all I do is internet browsing (social networking, YouTube, other websites) and word processing for reports, I have a $350.00-$375.00 budget...what should I get: dell inspiring mini, Toshiba nb505, or the HP mini 210..will take suggestions. Thank you and please answer before September :)
@iMrBencivenni OH HELL NO! APPLE COMPUTERS ARE SOO EXPENSIVE AND IVE USED OSX (SNOW LEOPARD) AND ITS SO GOOD THAT I COULD BEARLY GO BACK TO MY WINDOWS 7
Wow man, great video, I'm sure I heard from TLD that the 13.3" MBA models have the slower Toshiba drives in them, but yours seems to have the Samsung ssd, Do you think that when i buy one, it will include the faster Samsung drive or not? I'm from the UK by the way. (Thanks in advance)
It's really not that impressive. I'm sure everybody knows how much faster SSD's are compared to HDD's. And how much more quickly they take your money from your wallet!
do you think if i get a macbook air from bestbuy it will come with the samsung ssd? if i don what can i do to get the samsung ssd?

So, a Mac Air would be better for speed, but what about if you are an editor that edits CoD, will the Pro or Air win in that situation?

My 2010 13" Air with Core 2 Duo and 128GB SSD does about 200/250mb/s. So guess the SSD in the new i5 air is not really faster?!?

I have a 2010 iMac 21.5 (base model) and every time I get this:
117 write/120 read
That's pretty good for a HDD. However it is a 500gb 7200 rpm that is either a seagate barracuda or a wd caviar blue.
