Nobody deserves to be judged for their religious beliefs, and while I often argue against religion it is never my intention to belittle the people who take up such beliefs, as we are all simply trying to make sense of this crazy cosmos.

To say they completely reject technology is a common misrepresentation. Each community does it differently, but basically they reject technology they judge to interfere with their traditional way of life. It's often a contentious issue within the group, evidenced by all the brand new John Deere tractors with wooden, tyre-less wheels you'll see plowing Amish fields.

Not only can Jesus not be reliably proven to be the son of God (it would have been the only prophecy to be fulfilled but they couldn't even get that right!), but he himself was quoted as saying that no letter of the law would change until all things came to pass. Part of that change was his second coming, which was meant to happen in the lifetime of his disciples. It never did.

I was always fascinated with the Amish since I can remember and had the wonderful experience
& visited different Amish towns in Ohio.They are Extremely hard working people who were persecuted in their homeland (s) as were the Quakers people this is why they came to America from what I have learned my grandmother was Pennsylvania Dutch. I am sure other Amish vary on how strict they are or not just like it is within all faiths & society in general from person to person or family to family.

Halal has several different meanings throughout the bible, and I can find nowhere which confirms your OPINION that Allah was derived from it. Allah in Arabic certainly doesn't translate to devil.

Without the Old Testament, we would not understand why this Messiah was coming (see Isaiah 53), and we would not have been able to identify Jesus of Nazareth as the Messiah through the many detailed prophecies that were given concerning Him, e.g., His birthplace (Micah 5:2); His manner of death (Psalm 22, especially vv. 1, 7-8, 14-18; Psalm 69:21), His resurrection ect.

Why do shows these days display so many Euro-trash? Seriously, not all Europeans, especially those in the U.K., are like this. Then again to be fair many tv shows show people in the U.S. as overweight/obese Ameri-trash. *sighs* Which it is nice to see the Amish (though they appear more like the Mennonites) from time to time. I think that is theologically true. But I think they got some kind of judgement to allow them to do this.
So that they are not seen as a cult. And they are not, they are straight up fine Americans, German Americans, and even if they won't fight for us, they will farm for us.
