Mika Nakashima played Nana in the movie, before the animation (with Anna Tsuchiya on the soundtrack) came out.

It is a little onfusing though, because most of the cast from the first movie (exept Mika, Yuna & Hiroki) are different in the second movie, so the same characters have different faces from the first movie. That's what I thought anyway.

I think so. I saw the movie long before the animation came out on TV & also when it later came out on DVD. The manga came first, but I think it is still ongoing, though I heard that the author is sick and may not finish the story. Not sure if I was told the correct info or not though, sorry.

The anime comes before the 2nd movie. I was surprised that so many cast members changed though. I heard that the original girl who played 'hachi' Nana, had demanded more money the second time

why Olivia is not playing Reira....I have no idea but it's not often the seiyū plays in the real movie..like in Death Note. Kenichi do the voice to Jealous in the anime but plays L in the movie. Eitherway I would also prefer Olivia as Reira since I don't like that Yuna speaks English in NANA so much..but yes she can sing good.
