yes this game is hard, but thats why i like it, you feel like you actually acomplish something when you beat a boss, not just "oh another boss battle". not to mention theres atleast 50+ hours of gameplay, and it has high replay value

WORD on replay value. I got to SL111 in November and put it down for a bit when Skyrim came out. I came back to this game this week and even though I am also playing Syndicate, this game felt SO GOOD to come back to and feel like I was visiting an old friend. Now thoroughly reinvested on this game and think I will finally beat this thing and start NG+

If you choose a Thief (which I believe he did) you get the Master Key already in your inventory.

To anyone thinking about watching this series:

Mitchell does a great job as a tour guide for Dark Souls. It looks unforgiving / nerve-wracking / frustrating (though gorgeous in its dark and gruesome way) and I got tense just watching him play. Several hours of grinding and recovery are cut, so the presented material is mostly interesting and has good flow. Fast-forwarding with the chipmonk voice through some parts is also cool / fun.

Hey Mitch. Love your videos. I just passed through the Catacombs and the two spells that helped me the most to complete the level were the spells from the spirit lady you can summon at the lake where you killed the hydra. "Vanishing" and whatever the light producing spell is called were the two spells that helped the most. Vanishing to avoid the wheel skeletons and the light for obvious reasons.

The Master Key is very very good, and the theif doesnt start with bad stats, so you can play him alot of ways. And like mention previously, you can select two gifts, and it makes alot of the later stages easier. Second best is probably pyromancer, starts out with alot of good stats with a ranged spell that is amazing early game to boot.
