Even with all the mistakes you cannot deny that these two Flag group are just plain GOOD! I like them because they do more than just twirl flags. They add dance and a lot of other technical aspects to their shows. I would say that SCSU has the best flags but they are a little sloppy. If they could just work out all of those kinks! Oh and the SCSU twirler was great! Why doesnt she do all of this during their halftime shows?
das Mr Morris(from Morris brown) shit lol.....he taught us at ASU.......all spins, all flowy.....NO POINTS.....No stickin....all tossin....NEVER make sure they are together...easily to identify his work.....

SCSU & A&T are qood, but the tosses in SCSU were juss too much, but thats qood, because it's different & beinq different is qreat ! ..Golden Deliqht, they my qirls , even thouqh they disappointed me when they dropped the flaq, lol.. they were still qreat, but flaqs while dancinq, is what they need to improve on ! .. beinq different is ah qreat thinq & both squads did qreat, jus needs ah lil more practicee ! ..& thats when the competition will start =)
As someone who marched corp style........I did guard for 2 years! Tosses for normally put in a routine to highlight a climax or big dynamic in the music. I believe they did every kind of toss possible in this routine. From the traditional (drop spins, speed/push spins to a 2 or 3 revolution toss), Push toss, helicopter, angle toss, sweep toss, etc. Seem like a toss every 16 to 32 counts........especially from 2:59 to 3:28..........too predictable! There needs to some cleaning to form!

As caption of SCSU ELECTRIC SILK i can inform you that you know NOTHING about twirling!! I applaud GD on their many talents but we have dancers flags and a baton twirler so when it comes down to battling with flag thats just what it is a battle of flag and when they actual twirled their FLAG they have ABSOLUTE no technique on us our flag work was way more challenging and our BATON twirler killed theirs hands down!! We mad mistakes but so did they! Judging on the flag routin theirs was simple!!!

@finecameron i rep aggie pride all day and my whole fam i scsu all the way but if you would look at 1 of their feild shows you will see that 1 the baton twirler does much better than gd 2 electric silk has done cartwheels ald splits this season.

SC State did ok, nothing outstanding, still better than they have EVER been. SC State needs to realize that all those tosses are too many, you lose the effect of the toss when you do it over and over.....and over. I see how they are trying to better themselves however, they are not yet on the level of Golden Delight. GD has a great balance of equipment and body movement and a great use of color. This wasnt their best routine, but far better than SC State and every other HBCU. Good job 2 both
@rodcee It's apparent that your eyes were only keen where SCSU was concerned. They seemed to blur when GD performed. Same train new passenger. We get it.
For those who insisted on trying degrade the 101's Electric Silk for drops, you should be just as harsh when watching GD's performance. Though I usually enjoy the versatility of their routines, but Golden DeHype was very much off of their game during this routine. So to the opposition of SCSU, if you want to make an assessment of this clip, make certain you are fair-minded when doing so.
@drkemp. If anybody need to attend anybodys camp, it would be that dreadful flag line of scsu!!! They dropped more times than a high school squad would. So dont get up here talking about gd need training when scsu flags and dancers are biting thier style. And please leave the male twirler 2 jsu. Cause he was just terrible!!! Sn. If you are going 2 imitate another squad, make sure it is perfected well, and not watered down!!!! Thanks

The Golden Delight needs to attend SCSU high school band camp if they try to do tricks they are not ready for.... I admit my Marching 101 keeps the audience attention with something we do on a regular bases.... GD stick with what u know not try to show off............. Overall performance wise we, THE COLORGUARD, did a better job than anyone else
i think both had mistakes but they were both good seemed like with gd ,their adding the flags while adding dance moves kinda messed them up but they were both good performances plus at that level of difficulty
