Prisoners should be granted the option for suicide. It is a win win situation on all sides. The victims and/or their families get closure regardless, the prisoner dies and no "torture", and society saves on tax money to take care of those prisoners, ESPECIALLY when they become seniors.

I think in the end it is not going to matter what race someone is, because people have interacial relationsips. I also think prison terms should be shortened, but made more intense on rehablitation. A reward system. Take out negative influences, such as certain media, and replace it with more positive information. And after that we still have to deal with re-entry into society, where they return to the same enviroment they came from. The value system for all races could use a little readjusting

My answer in the short term is to leagalise all drugs and the resulting end to large amouts of crime and killings could free-up resourses that can be used for education, address poverty and drug rehabilitation. Prisoners should be granted the option for suicide. It is a win win situation on all sides. The victims and/or their families get closure regardless, the prisoner dies and no "torture", and society saves on tax money to take care of those prisoners, ESPECIALLY when they become seniors.

I think in the end it is not going to matter what race someone is, because people have interacial relationsips. I also think prison terms should be shortened, but made more intense on rehablitation. A reward system. Take out negative influences, such as certain media, and replace it with more positive information. And after that we still have to deal with re-entry into society, where they return to the same enviroment they came from. The value system for all races could use a little readjusting

This is a very good example of how anyone can acheive, if they are given a chance. It seems to me, poor people of all coulours go to jail. My answer in the short term is to leagalise all drugs and the resulting end to large amouts of crime and killings could free-up resourses that can be used for education, address poverty and drug rehabilitation. Drugs when they are legle dont kill many people....Of course no goverment will ever take this step...so as usial a solution will be very hard to find

There are bad apples, yes. But society needs someone there to enforce laws and human rights. With out them you will have anarchy, then a LOT of people will have bad things happen to them. More than normal. If law enforcement and and politicians break the law they should be held to the same standard. This dosen't happen all the time, but it is the way it is suposed to work. This why we have ACLU. But regardless, we need people to help maintain order, or we as a society don't move forward.
