  • Not often the medics leave with a patient already in the back..Good thing she was there tho cause she was close to the care she really needed

  • why all these grieve up in here, i read two supposedly proffessional health care personnel or more going at each other instead of thanking God for Bobbi and celebrating life.come on guys shake hands and make up. afterall this procast was supposed to make us feel good. thanks.stay pro and God bless.

  • This was such a good show. Wish it was still on, although these days it would be full of gang shooting and child abuse emergencies. sad

  • unlucky for the aneurism but lukily she was surrounded by emergency healthcare pro's

  • Dunno if I woulda done the procardia PO while in that condition.

  • I agree, patient has an altered mental status and is laying supine. It's very possible that an airway obstruction could occur by delivering PO medication.

  • Touching video. Happy all is well.

  • Watching her pass out makes me wanna.

  • Very nice lady.. shes lucky to have friends that care, thank god they where there to help her. shes a very sweet lady from what i can see, being so decimated to her family & friends.. Praise the lord she lived.

  • she seems like a very sweet lady, Thank god she pulled tho

  • That Kid Played The Harmonica Really Well

  • Wow. What a nice Elderly Lady. She seemedso kind. I'mglad she got the help she needed, and returned to the job two months later. :)

  • I wonder how long it took the ambulance to get to the hospital??

  • The EMS director that drove the ambulance did say it was a 45 minute ride with light's and sirens to the hospital.(not that the light's and sirens make to much difference-I work in EMS so I know)

  • this is irrelevent how a dispacher is injured i mean the call a another 911 servise thats soo weird

  • They called the hospital for medical direction to administer a certain medication. You need to consider local protocols and this was also 18 years ago. They didn't call another 911 service, they called to see if they could fly her by helicopter which they obviously didn't.

  • they could not fly her because of lightning in the area

  • It's in Georgia.

  • Syncope due to Seizure, Hemmoragic CVA or both??? I don't remember them getting a blood sugar on her, and nothing in here said she was a diabetic. Defintely not an MI because I don't remember seeing any EKG change. I'm not a medic yet still an EMT but I know what I sinus Tach looks like on the monitor. I guess it turned out to be a CVA afterall. This is one of the older episode's. I saw this probably 15 or 16 years ago before I really started watching the show in 95

  • Yeh they got BSL at the e.m.s office

  • Don't follow you my friend. What's BSL???

  • Blood Sugar Level :)

  • ACTUALY "BLS" is basic Life Support. You have two major types of emergency ambulatory services thats BLS & ALS (advanced). all depends on the level of training and equipment on the ambulance or truck.

  • I learned a lot of terms such as the ones you mentioned (BLS&ALS) from listening to my desktop scanner & my grandparents scanner; they are very nosey and want to know what's going on in there county. They monitor the county fire & ambulance channels & the state wide hospital ambulance channel. You can learn alot listening to that scanner

  • Wow..good for you, you know your scope of practice mr EMT...well guess what???, I work in EMS too for a commercial ambulance co, lol. Your comment was pretty random, lol.

  • This comment was not for you Mr. Commercial . it was a reply to 'renegade334'. Pay attention.

  • lol pay attention

    you pwned that dude

  • well she had her attack at the right place all thought i wouldn't wish the attack on anyone

  • Plus not eating all day for anyone is bad, even normal people will probably have an issue. But not eating lunch probably isn't an issue. I useually skip lunch, but I have a snack after I get home and make up for it.

  • 190/160 is more then just an elevated bp

  • that is insanely high

  • it looked like she was having a seizure because her arms were shaking but she could of collapsed of low blood sugar if she had not eating that day.

  • are u saying that if u dont eat like a day like lunch at school, is it possible u can collasp?Im asking cause my friend and I usually dont eat lucnh

  • no. it depends if you are diabetic. if u are diabetic and dont eat ur blood sugar will go down and u can collapse but if u are not diabetic you could probably go without lunch.

  • It's not very good to skip lunch ata ll but I guess it can be ok if you later compenstate

  • she was having a seizure aswell as the other things!

  • yep. as long as you eat something before you go to bed

  • i like this one. its one of my favorites, because it hilights the feeling of family that rescue organizations feel, and makes me want to join one that much more. i especially like the line whereshe says:

"you'll always be in my heart"

  • Thank god shes okay. From what I first saw my guess was that she had had a stroke she had all thr signs of one.

  • Boby was at the right place at the right time with people she knew loved her and cared for her. This is what saved her.

  • could be related to bruce lee LOL just kidding.

  • I was wondering if you had the segment from this episode where a man riding his horse falls off and slams his face in a tree.

  • rescue 911 is up to 433 votes to come out on dvd, go to tvshowsondvd, com and vote

  • To those watching.......there isn't always a cause. I was in good health when my brain anuersym ruptured. I didn't know I had it, came on all of a sudden and the headache was the worst pain I have ever felt!!! I was only given a 50% chance of survival. Bobbi was lucky that she was surrounded by medical professionals when she went down. 99% of us aren't that lucky!

  • It would have been great if Shatner had to get rescued from a situation!! Like if Shatner went down while introducing a segment to us!! "Tonight on Rescue 911(heavy breathing)heroes who know(clentches his chest)no bound-"(falls to the floor of the dispatch center in mid introduction.

  • Then we would hear one of the other dispatchers in the center where he does his intros for each segment call 911 for HIM. "This is Huntington Beach Dispatch Center in California, and Captain Kirk just collapsed while giving the intro to the 1st segment of tonights episode"! Or Shatner's collapse could be from singing to many of his spoken-word songs!!

  • if shatner collapsed the show would be pre-empted for another tuesday which thankfully never has happened.

  • Watching him nowadays on Boston Legal, I'm starting to expect it! ;D

  • That should have been a series finale for 911.

To save Shatner in an emergency.

  • your'e looking at a unique facet of RESCUE 911, "When Rescuers Need Rescuing", examples

    #127

    #216

    police being shot etc.

  • What about the one where Gill Messer has his heart attack after putting out the store fire, or Officer Nichols gets shot by the car theif, and the 2 ambulance drivers get in the ambulance accident where it flips over.

  • I like the one where a fireman falls into an arroyo while trying to rescue a teen, and the one where paramedics respond to the bee truck crash and a couple of them are allergic to bees.

  • Isn't that the one where a hand glider crashes onto a cliff, and when the fireman tries to get him out, he falls?? The only "arroyo" one I remember is where the teen falls off his skateboard into the arroyo and drowns. That was from the first episode. I don't remember the one with a fireman falling into an arroyo while attempting a rescue.

  • The one where the fireman falls in is the same episode where the teen falls off his skateboard. It's up on this site, from Episode 101.

  • yes I rememebered those as well

  • I've been having headaches for 8 days.

  • I thought it was a baby shower they were having when in fact it was a wedding shower for 2 of the dispatechers. Shatner says it was a unlikely event at the beginning. What is so unlikely about having a wedding shower for 2 fellow co-workers??

  • I think that was more to foreshadow a rescue worker being the victim.

  • What cause Bobbie to have stroke?

  • Too Much Headaches.

  • Or it could be an unlikely situation because of 2 people having a wedding shower. Is it common for 2 people to have a wedding shower at once?? We had a baby shower for an employee at my work a few years ago, but I am not sure if having another babyshower on the same day for another person would be unusal or not.

  • There was also the segment where a dispatcher is also the victim as well--the dispatcher choking on the candy.

  • Or they could of had a joint baby shower, and welcome back party for Bobbi. Meaning one party for both occasions...

  • You got good point.

  • I actually think it was welcome back party for Bobbi

  • It's amazing that she survived!

  • Was the party at the end to welcome back Bobbi or was it the baby shower they were supposed to have?? Surely they would have not went on with the baby shower after Bobbi went down.

  • Kingsland, Georgia

  • Where's that happened?
