Yes it is all mental, and all illusory. But I'd say its the passage of thought from the known to the unknown. It occurs only in relationship to something/someone and is usually rooted in the perception of loss (especially of the known).
Real love is unemotional, unromantic, all- encompassing, infinitely compassionate and all-forgiving. It needs no other in order to be. It is possible to be this love.
Romantic, chemical, emotional, conditional, transient 'love' pales in comparison.
is love real?ive never loved and im 47.The songs say i will love. How does one love?I love alot about humaness, and I love mankind in general.hmmmm Can I love jesus? Those people have chemical released and then love him.I do think all who get it will get it,and eventually all will get it,it could take a long time,it could take right now.
love is actually a chemical reaction in the body, love is addictive, concentrate on loving, and it gets easier and way more nice then at first... just biology,,, it;s science... the neurons in your head grow custom to a certain way of thinking, so let that thinking be love then...
This description sounds more of the neuro-chemical explanation for certain behavioral disorders (subclasses of which might be) attachment, infatuation, obsession and possible co-dependency. Seeble's answer (above is more befitting) in a video thread relating to the Zen perspective, and in how the concept of "Love" is regarded in the mystical traditions.
