  • I love the cutaway of the rightmost guitar!

  • I prefer the sound of a great prelude by and organ and piano over this. They are the right guys, in the wrong place at the wrong time. Rock and roll is out of place in a church.

  • @yamaho5 Why do you think that?

  • I attend every week. I can't get enough of the whole experience. Attending NPC is something I look forward to, not something I dread like I have with other whollyer than now churches I've attended in the past. Like Tommy says "We're not here to judge you or make you like one of us. It's a safe place." That's enough for me. Don't judge me.

  • I went to church for the music and ended up falling in love with Jesus.

Now as a worship leader the mission is to worship our Lord and Savior, not to glorify ourselves. We are given the guidance that all that has breath should praise the Lord.

People do that in many different ways and while I think that is great, it is more important that my work help those in our church to worship. What works for some people offends others... it is a balancing act.

  • yeah, and its also too bad that religious idiots like you are the ones that drive people out of your churches and into ones like northpoint. let me just point out that the Bible also says, "sing and play skillfully before the Lord," so tell me? is there really something wrong with a musical session during tithe and offering? no lost person wants to come into church and see religion. they want music. they want good musicians. they want lights, etc. wake up people!

  • What a shame that so many churches have let their worship teams become performance based instead of actually worshiping God. I was on a worship team for two years and I left because the music started becoming about the performance and how "cool" we sounded. I have my own band for that; don't need to show off at church.

  • What a shame that worship has become equated simply with worship music only. Paul said to do all things for the glory of God. Bach, wrote all "For the Glory of God",secular and sacred.

Paul said that true worship was offering our whole lives for a living sacrifice. that means every note you play on your instrument-regardless of the fact that 'worship words' are attached to it.

  • I play in Louisville Ky. and you're right - it's all about Jesus. not us. Hearing someone say don't judge me sounds like an excuse. God's people don't judge wether someone has a relationship, but at the same time judges right and wrong. God bless!

  • I love Northpoint Church! I missed this day.

  • great stuff.
